Well, I don’t know what’s up with HL and their shares prices and account balances, but post close ’ve just lost a lot of the blue inthe past hour. And my last 4 batches of LLOY are not in profit. Looking in more detail at the intra day share charts there is no way they were ever in profit. I’m still 3% down on them.

Afternoon all. Back from lunch to shockingly find p/f turned around completely and nicely overall blue! . It’s taken several weeks, but my recent last 4 purchases of LLOY are now in in profit, so will look to offload some this week.

Morning all. Wet and miserable today. Sums up the mood and the market following the football result last night. Italy did deserve to win over the 120 minutes though.
T - yes - These online ****** trolls should be hunted down and prosecuted to the fullest degree.
Sold my remaining long term holds of ABF & LGEN on Friday afternoon. (Just as well give today) Both for nice profits. Still holding some recently purchased LGEN with HL that are 5% down.

Car replacement fund back intact. Sold my latest batch of LLOY for a £200 profit.
I still hold other batches in good profit or down 4%.

The market drops and recoveries lately are hard to predict.
I raided my car replacement fund and bought more LLOY yesterday.

Afternoon all. Even the football result wasn’t enough to stop the rout. Absolute shocker pf wise today. However, as ever, not taking it personally as it’s in line with the overall market.
Good to see GGP as my only share bucking the trend.
T - here’s hoping the Yanks ride to our rescue later.

Morning all (just. Mild and showery today. Pf took a right battering yesterday and recovered a third of the drop this morning. Been topping up THRG held in my ordinary share account with HL.
T - talking of Wetherspoons- Separately, following interims today, my decisions to buy JDW and 888 to hold in my ISA on a short term basis a few weeks ago were terrible. I’m going to have to hold a lot longer.
I bought back in on SAR yesterday (a small amount) on the basis of a chat from the guy at my allotment who put them onto me a couple of months ago. I sold out for little in the way of profit profit. He’s still in and up 300% from when he told me. He reckons they’ve a long way to go. His strategy is to buy and hold for years on end. I think he knows best, but where’s the fun in that :)

It Was a good day for my shares yesterday. However, my focus gearbox decided to dismantle and strew itself on the road. It’s therefore the end of my 13 year old that I’ve had from new. I will probably have the missus’ car as it’s only got 11k on the clock and she can buy a new runaround.
Earlier this morning I sold all my small amount of 88e I bought yesterday for a 5% profit. I’m now only 60% down on it from my original minus 85% Will look to buy back in on any fall.

My day trades held over from Friday were completed when first thing today I bought back in on 88e and CARD for a total £18 worth of more shares. They’ve since risen.
T - there is no consistency or logic regarding the restrictions. I hear Boris will be announcing the lifting of most restrictions, and hopefully weddings and funeral etc can get back to normal.
As regards MCRO, I don’t know enough about the company. I need to read up (as usual).

Morning all. Hazy sunshine and warm here. Pf treading water apart from my house builders. Thought I’d do some day trading so sold my CARD and 88e. Just waiting for price to drop. It will have to be soon as I’m currently on the way into town for a bite to eat and drinking session. My decision making is bad enough when sober! So no way when I’ve had several pints.

That said, what a great day for SPs in genejral. One of my best ever. Still a way to go before I reach the highs of mid April.

Morning all. Overcast and warm here. Market looking good today. Market reacted positively to ABF update, and took the opportunity to sell half my long term hold for a 15% profit.

No share dealings for me today. Nothing takes my fancy in a falling market. I don’t understand the pessimistic around GDP being 0.1% less in the last quarter than originally thought and the Delta variant impact relatively low.
Trading update from ABF tomorrow. I’m currently up 11% on it. I’d previously been optimistic about the impact on SP and being able to sell half, but the SP has dropped 10% since March. Given Sercos announcement which I thought quite good, their SP dropped, the omens aren’t great.

As they say. - football is a funny old game. What a great game and result for England. I wouldn’t have picked that side, but given my track record on many shares recently what do I know!
C - re your tracker, coincidentally, but not a tracker, I’m rationalising the 23 different shares in my pf. Over the last couple of days I’ve sold all my Strix, Travis Perkins, Yellowcake and Smurfett Kappa for about £500 profit (nothing lost on any of them) and bought Black Rock Throgmorton (THRG). Fees are fairly high, but the rise in THRG has largest covered them already. I’m hoping it works out better than when I sold my big miners and bought BRWM in three batches. I’m 8% under water on all those average wise. I’m down to 19 different shares now.
I understand that when teams do well in tournaments the stock market rises. In which case get in quick with buying and selling before the bubble bursts on Saturday, or more likely Tuesday next week :).

n - agree about Yellow Cake. I think the next fund raise, I will buy and hold. My buying and selling timing has been very poor since mid April. When I buy, the SP drops, when I sell the SP goes up. Fortunately in the 3 months prior I did very well.

In respect of the Lions, real shame about Alun Wyn Jones both for the team and the player. With COVID breaking out in the SA squad, you do wonder about the chances of the tour successfully concluding.
So you are awaiting MCRO next week, as much as I am ABF. Let’s hope good news for us both. :)

Evening all. Apologies, very late on parade. The Market has been very weird this week, but hopefully good for you all.
I finally sold my YellowCake PB offering and made a £60 profit after costs. Shame really, as it might have proved a long term hold, but I still don’t understand the Uranium market. Must do some more research!
