Good afternoon everyone. Pf finally steadied apart from LLOY. Still regretting buying AVON on Friday!
T - I note what you say about the US markets, and again, I’m regretting buying NVIDIA. Currently 3% down, their results are due to be released after market close tonight. Beginning to think, even if the results are spectacular the SP will fall further. Will mean I have to hold another share for medium to long. These very much restrain my day trading capabilities. Can you all keep your fingers crossed for me :)

O - let’s hope so. My recently acquired funds have been doing ok late. Two of which are based around U.K. companies with small and medium cap, where hopefully growth and profits will come over the next few years.

Morning all. Grey and wet start to the day. Heavy red losses again so far. No dealing for me today as what was in my trading fund is all tied up with NVDA and AVON, which need to recover.

T - my post miraculously reappeared. I’ve noticed lately, the site has been very creaky I think they need to upgrade their servers.
O - agreed. I really should stop trading in this thin period. One because of thin volumes, two because my decision making in the last two days has been appalling:)

Afternoon all. My post this morning has been removed - presumably because of the comment on Afghanistan. It was regarding of the previous group who fought the Russians and that things might have been different had the west supported rebuilding the country then. Anyway, let’s move on.
Dreadful day pf wise - I can take that as I’m with everyone else.
Punt on AVON from Friday still 6% down - need to hold as long as it takes.
Also down at the mo on the LLOY and NVDA deals done today - and that’s my fault. :)

Morning everyone. Hope you had a good weekend. Was sunny, now clouding over - very much like my pf. Made a small profit on an early trade of LLOY. Now down twice as much and needing to hold on 2 subsequent purchases.
Bought a small amount of LGEN on its drop - hoping to be able to sell later if it recovers.
Says it all when my AVON is the only share I hold that’s not dropped. However, I’m still 5% down on the purchase made Friday morning. Hoping for a bounce later this week.
As regards Afghanistan - there was only ever going to be one result. They have seen off all foreign invaders over the years. The chance of changing things in the country was lost after the MujahIdeen with the help of American money and weapons kicked the Russians out. They seemed a bit more pragmatic and liberal than the Taliban. The US thought they knew better and left the country high and dry without sufficient financial support and nation building support. Instead they laid the seeds for spending hundred of billions more and countless lives lost. Very sad, one can only hope the West learns some lessons on this. :(

T - I only noticed the AVON drop, as I was looking to trade in something as nothing was going on in the usual suspects. went to HL market site to see who were the biggest fallers. Saw AVON, which I know something about. So bought in. I’ve just sold all my remaining long term hold of LGEN, and quadrupled up on AVON. I’m hoping a short term deal, but may need to hold longer than usual Fingers crossed!

With that sort of drop AVON could become another takeover target?

Morning all. Got out of LGEN for a teeny profit.
Not much going on, though T great minds think alike. Bought into AVON, but at 2203p. Was hoping for a quick bounce but may need to hold a little longer.
The business is sound. Much of the customer base is government, local government organisations and security/ protection around the world. The revenue will flow and it’s unlikely their customers will go else where to get their stuff.

Another real mixed bag SP wise today, almost a reversal of what did well/not well yesterday.
I’ve been doing ok over the past week day trading LLOY, LGEN, PFZ.
However, that came to an end today and I’m having to hold a big chunk of LGEN overnight as I didn’t take the small profit available earlier in the afternoon. Took a risk trading on ex-div day, so need them to go up half a penny tomorrow. Can’t get CARD to work day trading wise due to the spread and limit on buy and sell size on eToro.
Good to see GGP make a recovery! :)

o - disgraceful behaviour by the board. Somewhat typical of AIM, but even on FTSE listed companies boards appear to treat the business as their on fiefdom and lining their own pockets at the expense of the shareholders.

T - yes you are right, with many SPs at or near ATH I need to assume it’s going to be priced in.
I see He1 price has collapsed on poor drilling results. Glad I only dabbled once on a day trade for a tiny profit a month back.

Evening all. Strange day. Half my shares doing well, the other badly. Only made a couple of quid with the LLOY and lost a bit more with EUA.
Any of you still holding shares with a dependency on mass testing for COVID, may be interested in this just reported in the Telegraph.
“ The delta variant has wrecked any chance of herd immunity, a panel of experts including the head of the Oxford vaccine team said as they called for an end to mass testing so Britain can start to live with Covid.Scientists said it was time to accept that there was no way of stopping the virus spreading through the entire population, and monitoring people with mild symptoms was no longer helpful.
Prof Andrew Pollard, who led the Oxford vaccine team, said it was clear that the delta variant can infect people who have been vaccinated, which made herd immunity impossible to reach even with high vaccine uptake.
It comes as Angela Merkel became the first major world leader to announce the end of free testing, with the provision set to stop in Germany from Oct 11.”

Morning all. Sunny and breezy here. Hard trading at mo. My Bellway didn’t react to its good update.
Yesterday bought a big batch of LLOY then had to hold it all day to recover and sold for the exact same price before I had to go out. Fortunately, was using eToro so no fees or stamp duty, so precisely zero effect.
Groundhog Day today. Done the same, bought another batch and it’s dropped!
Topped up a small amount of EUA on its drop - but thinking with this batch more to trade than keep.
Have a much much better day than me all.

n & T Oh the despair of not taking a point. I know the feeling. I read in the papers somewhere earlier this year about Bluejay mining being worth a punt. It’s gone up another 23% today. As well as me selling my original stake in Sareum which would have been 300%. I am back in but only sitting on a 3% profit. I don’t have enough patience, but I’m still sitting on my GGP and EUA - both in the red. :)

Bit of a grumpy start to the week pf wise. Hopefully things will pick up later today or later this week. Topped up CARD with a small amount left in my ISA trading account as it dropped 2.5% this morning. SP varies a fair bit, so might look more into its trading patterns. Always the risk that they actually do a fund raise, as they previously announced the possibility of.

Afternoon all. Good end to week. Pf up. Dabbled successfully with LLOY and CARD today for a fair profit. Very pleased with the total this week in terms of “trading”. The selling of certain holdings of individual shares that were going nowhere and putting them into funds and freeing up cash to do sone trading seems to be paying off so far.
