Morning all.
Another horrendous red day for me.
I’ve just sold all my BAC for a £55 profit after costs as I don’t think it will do anything until the Chinese come back with a firm offer or a no. Used all the proceeds to but more LLYD, which dropped another 1%+ today. I will sell some when they recover as 20% of portfolio is now with LLYD. I will then buy back into BAC

V - re HL - Can’t say I’ve noticed, as I tend to use their app, rather than the website. The app shows the empty time til end of trading.
T - you have my sympathy. They probably don’t know that Scottish Widows and Halifax also under them.
From my recent ISA transfer: My LLYD purchase today is still slightly red, but not unduly worried. Ive also just bought back into JDW, even though lockdown might be extended by a month. I’ve also bought CRH on the basis that construction and materials are buoyant in U.K. and they will get a cut of the massive US infrastructure programme

Morning all. Warm and sunnyish here. Good day p/f wise yesterday and started the same this morning. Went for a haircut, and when I got back it’s gone red by a few hundred . I’m off to the allotment this morning to take my mind off things.

m - agreed. Will see if US opening has an impact on AVCT.
Just back from shops Good news, slighty more blue due to LLYD and and my ISA transfer to HL has arrived!
I won’t invest straight away today as I’m off to the allotment this morning.

After a poor week last week, Lightly in the blue this morning.
Interesting article in the Sunday Telegraph saying that AALs spin off of their coal division - Thungela is actually worthless. AAL says not obviously, but doesn’t auger well for Thungela price. Glad I sold last week as AAL down 2%. AVCT RNS today didnt have the impact I’d hoped for, so will hold all for a while I had a small amount of spare cash in my current account so bought KETL. It’s a steady Eddy.

n - as o said, well done on Yelliwcake. Was offered an opportunity on PB quite a few weeks ago but wasn’t convinced. TBH, I didn’t understand the buying and selling of uranium in a non-open market, so thought it too risky. What do I know! :)

Afternoon all. Warm and sunny today. P/f very red. Weighed down by my large holdings of LLYD, LGN and ABF. Plus death spiral of EUA :) - all down a lot.
T - yes I was looking at buying back in to JDW. I’d need to sell something to buy. I got out weeks ago when it here was a rumour about full lift of restrictions on 21 June not happening. I think that was before the Indian variant. If I thought the answer was all systems go, I’d buy in now.
As regards prices, I didn’t notice last time I was in my favourite pub in town Youngs pub). Their prices were always more expensive than others. My gut feeling is for the moment that while they’ve got spare cash they don’t mind an extra 10p on a pint (if they can even remember what it used to be!).

Afternoon all. Grim day share wise, substantial losses that wiped out two days worth of gains. Always tomorrow.

Still overcast. Just like my p/f a few hundred down today. Lost patience with 888 and sold half for a £150 loss. Used proceeds to double up on AVCT. Hoping that when CE/EU approval comes (which they are confident about) the price will spike 10-20% and will sell two thirds. Well that’s the plan.

T & M. I’m too chicken to risk trading Amigo. It’s too binary for me.
The biggest risk Ive taken was buying KNB on the market on opening day then selling later in the morning. I could have made a lot more, but I didn’t have the nerve. I was certain the price would shoot up then quickly collapse (and it did) but didn’t know when. I didn’t like the feeling those couple of hours being glued to the screen - even though I was successful.
Just sold my remaining AAL shares for a very small profit and replaced them with BRWM. I noticed AAL dropped over 1% since I sold. Me thinks people don’t want the uncertainty of holding the spin off Thungola coal shares next week (like me).

Forgot to ask, any of you invested in Amigo, and brave enough to day trade. There must have been some massive roulette wheel profits to have been made recently.

Still no free funds to trade with as I don’t want to sell any of my drifting shares and crystallise losses in case they eventually take off. (ARB, BCN, EUA, AVCT, RBW, CARD)
My US BUD shares I bought last week are up 3%.

My P/f back to where it was mid April.
n - no, I’m not, nor have been a builder. Nor do I sadly know any builders! But I do hold for the second time this year a couple of house builders. (Which I bought at the wrong time a few weeks ago). I also sold the first lot at the wrong time. Should have held and would have made at least 10%.

I don’t use them myself. I tend to read articles to get a full understanding. I leave the interpretation to the experts. If you are interested in technicals, this site might be useful.

Morning all. Warm and sunny here. Very blue start to the day. LLYD having broken through the psychological 50p barrier. Onwards and upwards very slowly to 60p.
n - yes I have TW and BWY. I’m still down on these as I bought in on their ATHs a few weeks ago. I’m holding for a few months at least.
C - I’ve got an untapped general portfolio pension fund with Scottish Widows. It’s not a SIPP, so had no choice in the type of portfolio other than risk. I chose a low risk fund - It’s made 15% in total in 3 years. I’m thinking of asking abut swapping funds into something more (slightly) adventurous.
C - re the tax on withdrawals- I presume you’ve taken the 25% tax free lump sum already.
Still waiting for my ISA transfer to arrive :(

S & V - I actually christalised about a 40% loss on ARB, but still in with a small amount at £1.90. I will hold even if it gets above thar.
As regards GGP, I’m up overall a fiver on the current price.

As like m - I was affected by the HL freeze. I’m sticking with them , as my AJ Bell (all non isa ) account is clunky, and I will slowly over the next year move stuff by selling out of there.
o - well done. I don’t know enough about Japan and far East to invest there at the mo. Something else to learn.
