glr.l currently has a littlish higher market cap than xtr.l

I'd have to research to decide if I thought there was merit in merging the two .. or three even, including afp... which I note currently has a market cap of - only- approx. half the size of xtr.l .. and I couldn't be bothered doing that, not least as my hope here is that xtr.l will, by summer 24, find a way of getting its s/p back up towards a fairer 2p and I then down size my position by up to 50% and thereafter not care very much whatever the likes of Colin Derek Bird and his mate Old School Rodney do/say going forward.

If xtr.l was anywhere remotely close to 2.5 p, I'd be downsizing there and using the proceeds to upsize here. I have a pretty strong view that I have too many of those versus too few of these, thru 24... but who knows really, as much chance involved.

Generally, I have a strong view on a meaningful copper rally by 2025 .. and this and xtr.l are my bets off the back.

(But my main sphere of betting remains Oil & Gas. I believe tales of its demise - over the next few years at least - have been seriously over egged)

I felt compelled to start a planned but cautiously delayed slow/steady topping up process here this morning .... My current starting position here is modest and so I can bring my average price down decently thru a process of incrementally growing out to a medium sized bet here.....

This s/p just keeping on ticking down has forced my hand somewhat to start this process now rather than Spring granted.. but I'd be comfortable adding more and more into any ongoing further weakness.

Generally, I like the potential here and see anything under 2.5p as a strong buying opportunity.. and anything under 3p as a decent/good buying opportunity... and if this were to carry on down to 2p area then I'd just see that as a stronger/ better buying opportunity... hopefully for the long suffering it doesn't go that low... but anything can happen in this game.

An arousing Trading update and Stifel a rock solid appointment.

My position here was relatively small and limp .... but having topped up yesterday and again first thing this morning and with a nice rally in train today, it's looking more sizable and solid now...

I'm liking this share again now... and stand by my fairly recently previous view that very approx 100p per share sell out will happen here in due course ( eg 2025 )

I'm very pleased with my bet here... and am currently thinking I'll remain long and strong for most all my holding for a fair while yet here...

Perhaps s/p gains may be slower from here forward, as as it's 200m ish gbp market cap company now... but I'm still looking for an increase in market cap towards 250m gbp here in the coming months .. as in 35p + ish ..

Towards balance, I do think there is reasonable merit in that cyberarchias post, in fairness.. and I had no hesitation in ticking it up.. and 13 tick ups and counting for that post doesn't even surprise me.

I'll also add that if this s/p doesn't meaningfully turn around into the future, I'll see it as predominately my own fault... as it was me that placed the BET(s) here.. and in undertaking hard core gambling you understand you can of course lose plenty or even all your betting pot.... That said this can of course come good again too.. here's hoping!

Agreed Andrew .. but CB is still a great story teller imho .. he just needs a new batch of dreamers to buy into the current story .. the old batch have lived the real world journey .. and many think fairy tales now.. ..

That said it’s still about PoC rally …and a good tenement …in an flavour/favour jurisdiction ..etc ..

The agreement xtr.l entered into with MMP was perhaps sieve like and so a difficult starting point for a smooth long term revenue sharing relationship, especially for a mining operation whose complexity will grow over time, I'll guess, JDAU.. and hence walking away with this deal with these terms, towards brushing/shovelling another potential ongoingly 'complicated' relationship under the carpet, is somewhat understandable to me.

(That poor carpet has seen a lot of cr+p brushed/ shovelled under it over the years....and we shareholders were probably 'sheltered' away from half that cr+p or more!)

The skills within xtr.l may well be focused -aka limited to - on metals exploring, I'll go with... and hence keep it simple is the best way to go here.. and we're about to be back in that ball park now.. so ok by me .. and here's hoping that CB gets lucky in his hard core gambling this time around.

I'm fine wit this extension.. and if there's another similar duration one thereafter then ok by me too. Thereafter again probably sees me say it's realms of the ridiculous now though.

Disappointing but fairly unsurprising judgement.. I'm more surprised by the extent of the s/p fall off the back.. and I agree with ctw that this represents a meaningful overreaction.. and I've started topping up at 3.5p

PS: A more general point I feel I should make here:

While I'm not overly enthused by this strategy of selling out on Manica to focus on Copper Exploration only, I'll counter that by saying that I don't think the skills of Mr Bird and his team 'mates' were suited to involvement in an ongoing African Gold production company situation. His and his 'mates' skills lie far more in the Exploration Space, and especially Copper Exploration ; so I'll just accept the latest strategy and park any thoughts I had on 'Not Nice to Michu' Mr Bird off the back of his non marketing of Manica.

I still have plenty of concerns here, but understand that Mr Bird has done what he likes as a rule previously here and I expect will readily find a way of doing what he likes going forward here too.. and outsiders to the Bird gang such as Ben 'Owell, myself and plenty of others posting here wouldn't be able to knock this Bird/his mates off perch, even if we tried 'ard.
