(Amer was a very long and trying journey for me but did decently in the end .. involved plenty of in play trading alongside buy and holding though.. starting to look like I'll have to go more again that way here too... it's what AIM is more and more about nowadays imho... and adds further complication to an already complicated game.. and chasing returns that are harder and harder to come by.. brutal paradigm altogether with fewer and fewer winners and hence fewer and fewer players.. begetting downward spirals )

PS: I still have hope of a rally - or spike - to 1p at least here sometime in 2020 but understand that under .5p can easily happen here at any time too. Of course, meaningfully good news can come in may different ways here, as much as meaningfully bad news can ….. not sure whether that fits me into the dreamers camp or not.

seeing as you put it like that Kalan I've started my averaging down in 16's p instead of 15's p.. new plan would be small clips - 10k ish shares - every 1p down .. hopefully I don't get to add more in 15's, 14's, 13's p though.. but if I do, so be it...

I too have been adding back small tranches of shares to my holding here in early to mid 3's p, but didn't add any on recent rally to later 3's as I - alas - feel this still has as good a chance of going into 2's as 4's.. hopefully for the rest of the long suffering longs here it doesn't go back to 2's p... and Viveka has kindly given steers of good news that might be on the near horizon here.. and any/all such good news would be very welcome indeed.

Another thing that might help - a lot even - here is an announcement that the Woodford shares have now found a new medium/long term home.

Generally, if they can come up with short term news towards getting the s/p at least into 4's - higher far more useful obviously - on a sustained basis - i.e. not spiking and falling soon after - ahead of next raise then no lower than 3.9p raise would be fine by me.. a higher raise price would be excellent of course.

(I expect I will add a small amount more off the back of that next raise.. either way.. and if meaningful weakness ahead of that I'd defo add more back in 2's p whatever.. also I'd add into any rally I though was sustainable too, off the back of good short term news that facilitates a rally here )

very disappointed here so far but understand that I could be more disappointed again, of course.. and this proves one more time that playing AIM O&G is brutal.. and, in recent years, mostly a mugs game.... perhaps things may change here and generally in the sector for the better in due course.. but nothing is even close to sure; far from indeed .. so this game is for deep pocketed/financially buffered types only imho.

Generally, I'm just about reaching the point where I feel compelled to start averaging down here.. which, while par for the course towards trying to weasel my way out of another AIM O&G hole, is far trickier this time as this is my biggest position.

(including selling 10% of my position at just under 19p, my latest thinking is I'd look to add 20% more shares to my current position around 15- 16p range, and 25% more on any meaningful weakness under 15p.. hopefully we're close to the bottom now but in this game you just never know.. hence my general rule of no more than 20k gbp bet per stock no matter how much I like a given stock.. but, unusually, I broke that rule somewhat here: foolish)

Forget the shorters, over the years I've played AIM its the uber-bulls that have by far - far - been to most dangerous to your wealth. For every once I've seen them right, I'd guesstimate it's 20 times that they have been wrong, and the flavour of wrong is generally in the range of: extremely badly to horrendously to criminally.

Ps: The market is not nearly as stupid as people - very - often make out imho.

it rallies up into the .6's very regularly and into .7's irregularly and even .8's occasionally.. only to always fall back down to .5's again .. so for me around .9p is the first real sign of a breakout maybe seriously happening here..

I'm excited here for 2020 and am slowly but surely topping up in 500k share clips.. Average still considerably higher than I'd like but this can motor on up good news.

So your guess is as good as mine on the next 'ard rock implementation project progress update.. 'ard rock Manica still the key driver of s/p here imho (decent news today but I'm with CE on it not being a meaningful s/p driver around this time)

Brasso is there abouts the best poster I have come across on this board.

He has offered reality for a long time. Far too many others here have offered delusionality for a long time.

Look at a long term s/p chart on PPC and also look at the amount of money that has been 'invested' in this business over the years - much of it PL's in fairness to the guy - and then look at overall returns in terms of bottom line and shareholder value achieved by comparison: abject so far, utterly abject. Hopefully that will change going forward from here.

nice to at least get some up s/p momentum today but I have to add that it seriously disappoints/shocks me that this guy can buy up 11% of the co. on the open market without causing a meaningful rally from such abject share price levels. Who is still unloading significantly around these horribly low s/p levels is a questions that burns my mind?

Always try to finish on a positive : at least we've not got Taff back ramping here on today's uptick.. the welsh rarebit has been posting like billy-o - bearish there though - over on the Lekoil board and has gotten banned by LSE for at least one 3 day period off the back... He's back there today though I see... so ….. :-)

great if your forecast s/p up correction comes to pass. I think you're significantly too bullish though: The sector remains massively out of favour unfortunately and s/p gains generally seem so hard to come by/sustain. But - hopefully - the good gas new and more beside in q1 gives this s/p a chance of getting to 6p this q imho.

Yet another placing and at yet a - significantly - lower price level again.. but I still get it and it irks me only a little instead of annoying me in any way.. eg I get the paying down of debt is a good idea here now... and building a kitty for any further compelling asset acquisition opportunities of current asset development opportunities that could easily present themselves in Argentina and elsewhere in 2020.

But, I also get that placing at such lowly prices for meaningful chunks of shares is diminishing ceiling(s) the s/p might attain in future. In that context, the potential next tranche(s) at 4.6 ish p is far from inspiring me either btw.

Also, when someone like JPM AM sell down it never seems to be a block sell off market at a half decent price versus previous s/p.. its in the open market and it smashes the s/p.. yet on the buying side , instead of open market activity from Transfigura or such like we get this off market around -awful- s/p arrangement. It's a brutal game we play .. and why continually less and less PI's play AIM O&G imho.

Altogether, for this s/p to go up decently - and its at an abject level still - we need scale buying in the open market or issues at a good premium to current market price.. and this, again for the nth time, isn't ticking either box directly.. maybe/hopefully in future indirectly it will .. as I say again for the nth time..

I was beginning to like this share again and indeed beginning to categorise this up into my favourites batch in my p/f and hence look to hold longer ..eg thinking 8 to 10p was doable in next two years and so to look for around there as my target exit range.. I'm now revising my target exit range down to 6p to 8p.. and that might still be hard achieved I guess.. but hopefully not. ( my average price here is fortunately very low but I'm aware that a lot have had a brutal journey here so far.. as I have had same brutal journey in other 'similar' AIM O&G names, if not this one... so, altogether, we're all suffering again and again.. seemingly. )

Solid update and things progressing decently generally here around this time, thankfully.

I'd have liked to hear clear targets for production growth in 2020.. 10% again would have been ok by me. Also, I'd have liked to get some indication that a dividend was reasonably likely on the horizon in 2021.

Instead, I got some nice but woolly words.. on more solid progress to come in balance sheet strengthening and efficiency improvement and hopefully ticking up production slowly/steadily.

Altogether, decent but not very enthusing

(My previous latest exit levels target here was incremental selling down in the 15 to 20p range of my remaining semi decent position .,.. I'd now revise that to 13p to 17p range and expect that such levels may not be easily achieved .. As my average is in the 11'sp I was even happy to sell some in the 12p-13p range here recently and this is now only a medium priority holding for me. I would only top up here to bring my average price down towards 10p and that would require this going back to the approx. 9 p range... which I hope for the rest long suffering here doesn't happen.. and may well not happen, I'd guess)

IF the Vietnam and Ethiopia - and even Egypt - Bagr factories are being made ongoingly more efficient then there is of course a chance of meaningful s/p improvement here .. one way or other.

Even including SR woes, a deal has a half decent chance of still happening with them imho, if it makes clear business sense for them.. and this interim US /China trade deal pushing a fuller deal further out - and big tariff reductions still dependent on that fuller deal - perhaps actually makes garment production outside China - for Chinese co's - more interesting for longer into the future now than before this interim deal was announced ?

But my guess remains that any deal with SR might well be on less favourable terms than first announced.. as the s/p versus the originally announced deal price then and now is massively worse. eg Buy the co outright for 1.5p a share for might get voted through as new generation big shareholders have say sub 1p average prices now.

Another placing it indeed is .. but I’m with you mads on there being a better feeling on this one versus usual .. my guess is something in terms of sale or JV or similar might be announced by spring

sorry to see the company has seemingly been duped in that loan agreement but it's unlikely to be a catastrophic occurrence imho..
so having fortunately sold out at a decent profit previously I'm just now starting to build a position again here now.. will build out slowly by small increment with far greater interest in buying in 2'sp than 3'sp and wouldn't be adding at over 4p.. (whatever, won't be a large bet in total .... very high risk obviously and pure gambling of course)

..many twists and turns still to come here no doubt, perhaps including an emergency raise too, but nothing certain.... assets remain decent though and that gives me hope.

My average here is 13.5p and while I have a lot of bets on the go at any one this this is close to the most exciting for me amongst them all around this time.

My guess is if there is to be a company sale that we'll find out about it by then end of the month.. and any sale will be at a good premium to current approx. 13 p eg Minimum 20p. Altogether, I guess a sale is considerably more likely than not.
