Did the share price not reach nearly 40p 5'ish years ago Monman? And was it not 150p ish 10 ish years ago ? I don't know if a consolidation in that time ? but certainly plenty of dilution along the journey as is the way of things by definition with AIM O&G explorers . (Maybe someone who has been in this for a long time and stayed continually close to its play out too can correct/ amend / add to afore ? While I've been in this for years it's almost never been a big play for me - bar once in big spike which I sold down hard into - in a p/f sense and so I only pay any attention when it's wakes up.. etc..)

Generally, I believe it's extremely hard to call accurately s/p behaviour here .. especially in context of afore ranges this stock has previously been in.. guessing a figure for market cap at stage x and y etc and working that back to the s/p is the way I'd try towards offering a view.. and you gotta have a view to make your trading decisions etc.

PS: given the above, a 'ramp' here in the eye of one guy might be a 'deramp' in the eye of the next guy :-)

this share gave very generously to my kitty once before 5 ish years back, when it went well into the 30's p .. and was not nearly in as advanced a state then as it now is. Plenty more shares in issue now granted and very hard to pick and exit price target here granted.. double figures somewhere I'd guess but no real idea where therein .. 15p + here would be nice though.. lovely would be a good ways north of that, perhaps .. all imho and DYOR

but my hope is that sellers would - based on strong poo rally - revise up asking prices even when negotiations are in advanced stages... hence why many such asset sale processes have become drawn out .. and why AK , if involved in any such negotiatons, might walk away in the end instead of completing (as what he saw as a compelling buying opportunity at for sale prices quoted in 2020 is no longer such for revised for sale prices quoted in 2021 for eg )

PL has given some good news recently, in fairness.. but it hasn't done much for the s/p, in fairness .. especially in the context of PoO&G rallying hard and all boats rising with the tide being nothing to do with Peter Levine.

So the question might be why is this latest good news not rallying this s/p more?

And the answer might be that what PL is for years not very slow to tell you is more important than what he's for years now very quick to tell you.. eg total production levels .. nett profitability .... field depletion levels .. etc.. ( see Drichi earlier post too... and Aparky posts in a balanced fashion here too imho.. and although it took me a while to grasp I should listen t them extremely closely, it was tramsformational for me here when I did grasp that a few years back)

Great if this s/p does double asap for the long suffering here.. many of who still won't be near break even at 5p I'd expect.. ( unless the averaged down extraodinarily hard and in a well spaced out fashion too.. eg like PL did )

Agreed that it smells like an acquisition of whatever additional assets could easily occur here in 2021 .. any deal they might undertake would have to be judged on its own merits of course... but I expect it would have to be an extraordinarily compelling deal to see a big/quick s/p rally here .... and I think it's harder and harder to find such compelling deals now.. but AK will do what he feels like and the s/p would do what the market feels like off the back of any such deal announcement .. and as per my previous postings I'm, altogether, more concerned than enthused by prospects of any such deal..especially more Africa assets.. which, while it wouldn't have to be, it might well be.. and if any such deal was not deemed compelling, this share price could even come off punchily even if at sub 20p levels at time of announcing for eg imho..

Independently of any such deal I expect results from last year to have few surprises and the post year end outlook will be key to whatever s/p reaction.. I'm guessing a decent reaction but not a strong one and this s/p rallying somewhat back towards somewhere around 20p ish..

There are plenty of good/compelling assets here now.. and monitisation for some of those is not far off now, hopefully.. and bushranger has of course a decent chance of being good or great even.. so the current share price could easily have much room to grow into.....

Here's to the one and only Mr Colin Bird delivering big in which ever way - or even every which way, ideally - the end (In the end instead of in a timely fashion best I feel :-))

I didn't start off with the intention of range trading this.. it was a place I had to go as a survival technique.
For the long suffering here, I very much hope this share price performance changes from the disgraceful going forward.
(but I'll not not change my feelings about Peter Levine whatever, I expect: he has been and will remain conceited as a human being imho)

It would be nice if PL was on probation.. but he dominates this company almost every which ways still I expect.. and will continue to do plenty - but not as much as pre trafigura involvement perhaps - of whatever he feels like whenever imho..

Just as it looks like some ducks are at last lining up in Argentina - good production and price of oil and gas for eg - he could easily already be looking to 'invest' x times squared the next few years potential profits in strategic initiatives. But, as long as he shows a semblance of discipline and proportionality this time round then that might be ok too though, as the company has to grow. He has billy big b+lls written all over him though ( eg his written and interview comms style ) .. and he's very open to shooting for the stars any time he can as that's how he sees himself roll.. great if it works and shareholders don't - one way or other - pay through the nose one more time ( eg 70+p ? share price to 1p ish over 12 years ish ? = you've been punked.. back to over 2p now, yippie :-))

(To those who ask why i'm still holding a position here, my answer is I'm determined to somehow not be Levine punked ie not walk away from this share down.. I'm miraculously closeish to around even on my overall journey here so far now -mostly through healty playing of a range trading betting strategy based on little trust in PL - so there's a chance I'll be gone soon enough.. hopefully.. most of you will be pleased to hear !)

I've been in this companies shares for many years and it has been, in a bottom line performance and constant dilution sense, an utter disgrace in that time.. and the only thing we've had more of than false dawns here is punk rampers .. great if this is the genuine deal this time but, alas, it may once again not be .. and in spite of all the recent 'good news' I'd suggest the s/p is so slow to go up is because Peter Levine is trustd by so few any more.. and who could blame them.

The market is saying lets just wait and see the detail on this Paraguay farm out /JV or whatever .. whenever - late again - it eventually gets announced (imho)

great if this wakes up today.. it's been asleep for a long time this time around..any potential announcement around partnership /JV etc gives a chance of a proper rally in anticipation here ..

by any fair and reasonable definition 'ole two assays are very late.. and people are entitled to be suspicious.. and the share price is entitled to drift.. and I'm suspicious.. not least as CB has much form .. but mine is a micro suspicion.. versus my macro genuine opportunity/hope view.. and the recent raise proves that macro potential whatever .. and means we're going on a very interesting journey whatever.. and including the Africa assets the current share price is very non stretched right now anyway.. so I'm relaxed.. but this s/p can of course go lower in a continued news vacuum and/or seemingly average assay results for remaining 'oles.. but I'd still be relaxed... and would likelly see 4'sp - if it were to go there and it easily may not - as topping up time.. and that's just the glass half empty perspective .. glass half full materialising next RNS('s) would see this share price motor on from 5's p.. all imho..
