I'm guessing that CB did not release those recent two assay results RNS's with a view to bringing down the share price.. but, towards balance, I would offer that getting to the previously outlined size targets for Open Pit Mining from Racecourse alone might not be as easily achieved as CB previously expected it would, I'd guess .. But the narrative has of course moved on potentially very significantly with Ascot being announced.. and across all the assets of this company - not least including African assets - 6p to 7p s/p as I type seems -very- unstretching at this time to me.. and whether this s/p moves up or down a penny around now is not a thing on the grander scheme here, to me..

Good to see that new appointment indeed.. but this remains an extraordinarily 'tricky' share imho.. and its share price has altogether been factorially shamefully bad for kinda ever.. one of the great AIM mongrels so far.. but hope springs eternal ..etc..

I think you're a high quality poster here generally stevemocal.. and am generally very thankful for your contributions here.. but I was taken a back by that original 'managing stupidity' post of yours and think that's the worst post I've read from you here.

The level of assumption in that post of yours is huge imho.. eg1 You don't know what's coming from Ascot for sure.. eg2 Yesterdays RNS might even be one of the better Racecourse overall assay grades results that CB might have been 'sitting on' .. I obviously hope not, including Open Pit mining looking for grades nearer the surface as a rule too (btw he may not be sitting on any assay results, my - strong - view/guess is he is) ...etc..

Nobody knows for near certain what the future holds, especially in this game .. and, in that context, the overall tone of that post feels really arrogant and bullying to me.

(PS; I haven't bought or sold any shares here for many weeks ..so I'm not talking my book here, in case that's fired back at me.. even if I had, it's my money and my perogative how I play the game ..And most all buy and hold players on these BB's talk their books ad infinitum anyway... and a fair share are focused meaningfully in attempting to bully those with differnet opinions to theirs off 'their board' too imho)

I've just gone to the firms web site and opened that RNS via their regulatory announcements section and it does indeed say < 5%.. so sincere apols.. Until now, I've accessed the RNS only via the 'live RNS' button on this mtph page on this London South East website and it shows a blank in that same box on my view.. and I've open again and again via here just to recheck and still blank...If you've acessed via the firms web site of some other way - the London Stock exchange website for eg - can you do me a favour and access via the button here mechanism and see what it shows on your screen.. just for my info please, pharma giles?

One of the things that confused me / annoyed me in yesterday's Cantor holding RNS is that box at top left of table 7 being blank.. My GUESS - and hope - was that meant 0 left (ie that 5.2000 etc % they announced they had now ownership of in 7th Jan RNS has been sold down to zero by 9th Feb ... )

Even if If I'm correct in all my guesses so far - and I may of course be wrong in some or indeed all - CMS Medical Ventures Inv and A&B (HK) Co Ltd being concert parties adds complication in my mind in any interpretation I might want to make here re short term upcoming share price movements and hence why I'm not going there ....

From the company's web site we know that only three II's held more than 3% of Mthp stock as of August 21 (when mtph last updated the info on that page)

(From a Jan holding RNS here we also know that someone has built over 3% via Spreadex UK recently .. I'm guessing this is the same high net worth individual that has done similar previously and then sold into rallies.. so that's not directly related to todays RNS, I believe.. (its indirectly related to the extent of that buying being sourced from Cantor's selling, I guess ))

My GUESS is Cantor has either, as an agent to one of below, been dumping for them or perhaps more likely - as none of their names are given as the selling holders - took principal ownership of shares in an off market block transactions and then sold their position into any buying that occurred recently here eg that 3% buyer via Spreadex ..etc..

The top two II's listed below are 'concert parties' - ie interrelated co's - and so that add complication to any views I might look to take off the back of todays RNS.. so all i'll offer is my GUESS is this Cantor holding dump RNS today is to do with the selling of shares from one/both of the two Asia pharmas Investment Arms listed below.. ( from memory, I think they built their holdings here alongside agreeing license arrangements for certain of mtph products in Asia markets.. some long termer here can help me with here, as needs be)

Finally, apologies if I'm somewhat or a lot wrong here .. as I've seen such interpretation on such RNS's be wrong very often across many LSE BB's.. and very often including from those who have a fair clue on what they're talking about - which is generally very few on most BB's anyway imho - as these things can often be - very - complicated

At least the placing was over subscribed and is now complete. And there was a decent fee and warrants involved in the placing exercise.

There certainly is a chance of a further placing - or two- to come here in 2022 /23 in my mind too Panda.. and I more and more do see program delivery here taking longer than the bulls here are hoping for too.

I was reluctant to leave even 4k gbp in here as a placeholder - for future position grow out - at a then decent price average versus the field. With the benefit of hindsight I would of course have left 1 or 2k gbp placeholder in only and added 1k back after this placing and added more back at an opportune time in the future eg any future furthe s/p weakness. And looked to built out my position meaningfully here from a plenty lower average well further down the line. As it is, there is close to no chance of me topping up here in the short term now, and I might even sell some at 9/10p, if it were to go back there.. but I still like this as a medium/long term bet.. However it could first go plenty lower than even current 7.5 / 8'p ish, i'm sadly feeling.. but nothing is near certain in this game and with this placing soon behind it some may see an opportunity to buy soon in the expectation that on a 1 or 2 year horizon they'll do well.

The market is telling you that it absolutely does not see any sale on the horizon here jw1952.. the market is sometimes very wrong granted, but is right a lot too.

Even if a sale occurrance isn't going to happen here in the coming months, for this to be 25 odd p today after a fine MRE like that yesterday is the shocking side of shocking to me and underlines one more time the brutality of AIM.

This has been and remains an extraordinarily difficult share to be involved in if you're a buy and hold player, sadly.

And more patience required is all I can offer at this time.

Thankfully I don't look in here too often.. I'd be miserable if I did.. it's funny in fairness, so much appreciated for that .. plenty truthful too perhaps.. but I live in hope.. maybe delusionally so... but that's ok too..

With an average anywhere in the 4p to 6p range, there's got to be a good to very good chance we're on a real winner here.... and that's all you can ask for in this game.

Glad I topped up a bit recently when this dipped under 5p again .. didn't get around to looking in here today as other higher priority bets kept me occupied.. and so didn't add any more today.. but expect I'll add some more again here soon.... indeed I may even be open to doubling my - originally small ish - bet here in coming few months. (I'd like to see overall q1 numbers feedback before going all that way granted )

I feel the need to stand up for titty bar owners here: AIM is a lot more Wild West Cowbody like operationally than any Titty Bar I've been in .. and I've been in my fair share. (Which reminds me, that party at Madame Una's feels further away as we go here. :-()

Agree it was a joke putting this out at 8.15 am instead of pre market open.. put it out lunch time / pre canada open maybe and I'd understand a little bit, but still not a lot though. Or immediately post market close to allow digestion time even, again I'd only understand that a little bit.. but 8.15 am ?!

I read all RNS's in my stocks before market opens .. and was having my breakfast at 8.15 am and missed this til 8.45 am .. my guess is that someone forgot to post this for pre market open and only got to correct their mistake by 8.15 am.. I might be wrong of course and I clearly have 'an agenda' here that there is so much that's rank amateur about the running of this company.. (but there are numerous eg's to support this opinion of mine imho)

Speaking of, IF another placement is ahoy for a large drilling campaign in 2022, then there absolutely needs to be a high quality CEO appointed too and Bill H be Chairman only.. but my guess is there are plenty 'that count' happy with the current set up and nothing may change, whatever.. eg those with patience and deep pockets who love acumulating ongoinly - off market - at such low s/p levels, with a view to one 'clean up' win in due course.. when this is eventually - hopefully - sold for big bucks..

You might be right Samval and great if you are .. but if chunky placing funding is readily available and an imminent sale isn't likely then Bill will take it is my guess..and do a big drilling campaign off the back of a big kitty.. and chunky funding will be readily available here imho.. and Lnd.l wil readily enough prove up a bunch more gold from it imho and thankfully..

(and the deep pockets who want to participate in any such raise will want a raise price to be as low as they can get it.. and will be all for this s/p going down as much as possible as quick as possible.. and they've had a very good start so far today.. and this against such a strong MRE update is sad indeed.. but this is AIM .. and, nowadays, there's plenty more to being a good AIM Gold Company CEO than just proving up a great resource, alas )

(Towards giving the dreamers a break from 'my reality' here, I did sell v large per cent down at atome come to market time, towards going away from this BB .. and then - perhaps dumbly , perhaps not.. i have no idea which - started buying back in small tranches from 1.90's down.. but after buys in 1.80's and then 1.70's, and including asking myself why am I bothering here, thought better save some bullets and so skip buying in the 1.60's... it may not go into 1.50's of course - but it could and it could go plenty go lower again too, alas.. but it could go well back up too on the right news of course - and fine by me if stays above 1.60's ..as I have no real interest in being in this in any sort of remotely meaningful size.. and before i know it I could easily be back decently over 5k gbp here just towards keeping my average even semi 'in touch' .. oh well, these are the games we play..

Very impressive MRE update imho... and PEA to come to see more again that's 'unclassified'.

Disappointed with the s/p action so far this morning, and somewhat surprised by it. But Bodruncie has addressed this well in his earlier post imho. Although, It would of course be nice if the fundamentals dictated on the share price here for a change . (Generally, it takes buyers to see the open market as their only short/medium term avenue for getting involved for that to happen. Sometime in March is my guess btw Olderandwiser)
