"It is important to ensure that going forward we leave no stone unturned to achieve optimum performance and delivery for our capital expenditure''
That is a classic PL sugar coating of clearly far too many new and existing operational issues. Things MUST get significantly better in this respect in 2022 or else this s/p can go plenty lower again, sadly.
While it has been 'challenging' for a long time now for ppc to get production numbers growth, that, in fairness, is not to do with a lack of expenditure in attempting to bring on new resources / fix existing production ourtages either imho.
Very thankfully, in 2021, this 'trickiness' has been againt a very strong PoO&G backdrop, at least.
Still, these three in progress new wells, altogether, producing strongly is extremely important to ppc now.
(I did a small top up only now in late 1.50's.. more towards keeping my average price even semi in touch than actually believing in this going forward.. and would only do a small top up in 1.40's p too, if it goes there .. hopefully it doesn't.. but, one way or other, it easily might.. and might go lower again too, alas.. but who knows .. and they're certainly over due some good luck instead of bad here.. and with Paraguay etc too, hope springs eternal..)
