BP (BP.L), held advanced talks to sell its ​UK North Sea assets to Ithaca ‌Energy (ITH.L), in a deal worth nearly £2 billion ($2.69 billion), the Financial Times reported on Tuesday, citing people ​familiar with the matter.

While the talks failed ​in recent weeks, BP is still ⁠exploring options and may pursue a deal ​with other competitors, the report said.

Ithaca Energy declined ​to comment, while BP did not immediately respond to Reuters' request for comment.

All depends upon their status of being active or passive I guess as to their degree of trading !

No doubt there will be a certain amount of new active funds managers that now have an eye on ITM where as they may have been blind to or constrained by before.

Once these new MSCI Small Cap Index funds have got their fill we will see us move up once more, question is how hungry are they for ITM or are we akin to a cat that plays with a mouse for fun not food ! Of course, a banger of an RNS would alter things completely.

RSI was well above 80 mid April and remained so for sometime, not dropping below. Over that period our SP more than doubled, so yes RSI is an indicator but not gospel.

The Only Reason we have been range-bound the last month or so after those fabulous two RNS's is that Qube, Helikon, Voleon et al need to exit, once these artificial breaks are off then we shall really see what Mr Market thinks of these recent RNS's and ITM as a company.

CWR seen a circa 20% rise today, wouldn't be out of the question for ITM to see similar rise imo.
