First step Mercuria, need to gain full access and control of Serica's books .... that will probably be completed today with Andy Bell (CFO) being replaced by Jacques Tohme (Ex TW CFO), oh not forgetting we already have Guillaume Vermersch (CFO of Mercuira Energy) already on our board. Mercuria Energy as you all know own ~28% of Serica.

Good news, relinquishing North Eigg, more cash for oversea investment and acquisitions.

Also, "As previously announced, Serica is proposing a final dividend of 14 pence per share, bringing the total dividend in respect of the last financial year to 22 pence per share. We are aiming to maintain or increase the dividend in future years."

Norway approves more than $18 billion in oil, gas investments

OSLO, June 28 (Reuters) - Norway's government said on Wednesday it has given approval for oil companies to develop 19 oil and gas fields with investments exceeding 200 billion Norwegian crowns ($18.51 billion), part of the country's strategy to extend production for decades to come.

Norway's parliament in 2020 introduced temporary tax incentives to encourage petroleum investment at a time of low activity, triggering a rush of applications from energy companies.

Among the field developments receiving final approval on Wednesday were nine operated by Aker BP (AKRBP.OL), three by Equinor (EQNR.OL) and several by Wintershall Dea and OMV (OMVV.VI).

"These are projects that will contribute to a continued high and stable output from Norway's continental shelf as well as employment and value creation," Minister of Petroleum and Energy Terje Aasland told a news conference.

Norway's petroleum production is fiercely opposed by environmentalists and others concerned that carbon emissions from the burning of oil and gas contributes to climate change.

The government says Norway's oil and gas resources are essential to Europe's energy security and will be needed for decades to come.

Norway last year overtook Russia as Europe's biggest gas supplier after Moscow cut supplies amid the war in Ukraine.

Just Stop Oil getting publicity at Lord's this time, guess when they have finished protesting, they pop into Waitrose collect their pre-packaged sandwich, catch the diesel bus then train home .... now REMOVE all traces and aspects of how oil and gas for that matter, is used for them to do that, where would it leave them ... probably still at home burning wood to heat water for a cuppa !!!

We all know there is a clear and definable increased environmental impact on us importing rather than producing ourselves, not to mention our high standards of ESG, workers welfare/rights etc, yet these ' five minutes of fame' idiots are unable to recognise this.
