OK, serious move here in less than first 2 hours of opening, >10%, relentless climb. Pent-up demand, possibly but this is clearly more than that imo, inside trading maybe or someone taking a serious position, with shorts closing too, either way I'm OK with it.

On 25/5 we had a down-grade note (worth little more than a used toilet roll) from BoA , SP hit 252p, dropped >10% on that day on tiny volume since then, relentless rise. Just show how much this stock can be played with, not to mention previous MW tactics sending us sub 200p, shorts must be concerned now if not already closed/closing as we are back to Dec 2022 prices.

Strong break from the down-trend although showing over-bought yet to come close to stats of last summer. Looking for news behind this rise ( Odey maybe !), or better still all those pesky shorter's exiting for good.

Target for me at some point later this year (could be surprisingly sooner) would be circa ~ 585p, then see where we go from there.

U.S. Department Of Energy Targeted In Cyberattack ....

The U.S. Department of Energy was among several federal agencies that got targeted by hackers in a global cyberattack this week.

In a statement cited by Reuters, the DoE said that the hackers used a vulnerability in a file-sharing software program to carry out the attack. The attack used a weak spot in the MOVEIt file transfer software that its makers from Progress Software only discovered last month. This second attack was made possible by a second newly discovered vulnerability in the software.

The department also noted that the attackers got access to data from two related entities: a contractor, Oak Ridge Associated Universities, and a New Mexico facility for the disposal of nuclear waste generated by the defense industry.

Besides the Department of Energy, Reuters said that Shell was also a target of the cyber attackers, along with Johns Hopkins University and Johns Hopkins Health System, as well as the University System of Georgia.

Never mind, good effort but still failed the test, you must try harder tomorrow... :-(

Nice to target 389.75p by 10/10/23 or earlier.

SP has tried on several occasions in past week to breakout of long running down-trend but each time got smacked back down. Just need to push a little harder, appears pro-shorter's are not ready to let her go quite yet. Come on Linda, up the BB's and drop a little magical RNS.

As I mentioned please keep on-topic, ie HBR and all is well.

I along with others here may well take an interest in 'other' aspects of the world, but do not post here 24/7 about them, or try to force-feed media outlets / 'news' alike upon board members.

ECB +0.25% as expected but the market still didn't like it and shares took a little hit. In the meantime, NBP still well up on last week, ~50% and Brent holding its own too, yet HBR SP still struggles to make any traction atm.
