Just need a NS acquisition that has significant tax allowance, particularly for Ring Fence Corporation Tax and Supplementary Charge, all the better if we could also utilise EPL relief, then couple that with over-seas instantly accretive deal too. For sure, would need to revise improved FCF going forward.

Our SP is being smothered at every opportunity atm .... hummmm !!!

If these estimates are to be believed then little old HBR will produce ~50% that of Shell's (Worldwwide) forecast FCF for 2024, amazing !

Agree 4kandles, doing a placing at fixed price would of put a floor under the SP, as it is, anyone wanting to buy in via these 'tranches' can just dictate their target if they have already been 'allocated' ( nudge nudge wink wink ) to them. Also, these sellers may well be the new 'allocated' owners of these tranches, selling previous acquired stock from last 'placing tranches' which we know had an average of ~6.5p .... selling a fraction of these into ZIOC market is guaranteed to drag the SP to their desired 'mates rates' given the liquidity of ZIOC stock.

Appears pretty straight forward to me, totally legal, just ethically unjustifiable.

Also not unusual see downward pressure on SP when leaks have occurred, shortly before +ve RNS announcement is made but TBH it's anyone's guess when it comes to ZIOC.

Thanks for the post. I do think you will be back quicker than you anticipate for the next run up. ATM traders / shorter's et al are targeting the clear and obvious gap and lower boundary of channel too.

The H1 results may well not be too bad vs our peers given we have in effect a fixed income stream with our currently unhelpful hedging in place, plus the tax provision Linda's already loaded into accounts .... !! Post-hedge realised price for H1 2022 Brent averaged $82 boe and NBP 69p/therm.

Yes, appears endless awards under Executives' Bonus Scheme / LTIP scheme .... as you mentioned, I too have no idea under what criteria these perpetual awards have been made, reason for issuing them, is as stated, "Bonus Scheme looks to reward the achievement of pre-defined corporate performance targets.." .... What pre-defined targets !!! Think we are well above 50,000,000 shares awarded in recent times atm.

When you look at the make-up of our board, you would think given their combined wealth of experience that they are capable of doing a deal that actually achieves returns for SH and not just ( as it appears) jobs for the boys whilst feeding from the magical nil cost options trough kindly replenished on a regular basis by us shareholders and paid a handsome salary too.

Current top of channel circa ~412p to 400p/s over next month, so even Taconic adding here they will probably remain in profit even if we manage ~400p on M&A news. So, a no brainer for them, especially if these shorting funds continue to work in packs, but then again, they may underestimate Linda.

To be fair, shorting was an easy call from the point of EPL being extending, however the reverse is true too, EPL being amended or removed will have the opposite effect.

See if we can make 4 month high and possible breakout, although it appears Taconic Capital don't want that to happen. Another lift in NBP and Brent, that's sustained, could well turn Taconic plans on their head, that would be nice.

Not just banks et al but car insurance companies too should be WF taxed, just watch their profits over next 12 months of reporting ... had my renewal other day, increased by 62%, on like for like basis, no claims etc, just straight renewal.....
