Don't think UK will go after banks (got to keep City sweet at all costs) in the same draconian way as O&G but will need to do something as there are clearly massive 'windfall profits' being made by all 'n' sundry atm. Any move to windfall banks et al will need to be on same lines as NS otherwise Gov will be unfairly penalising O&G on premise of windfall for their 'extraordinary profits'. Either they go after the banks et al or severely water-down the EPL or even remove it.

I wouldn't say they are 'killing us', could be better but certainly not 'killing us', as current NBP stands at ~71p/therm and our collars just shy of that at 55-69p/therm. These then improve markedly to 119-269p/therm in 2024 with an addition 50% of gas hedged. So for me 2024, with reduced oil hedging (boepd) combined with improved oil / gas hedges (£) is when the FCF will significantly jump too.

We all here know that imports are more carbon intensive but good to see NSTA spelling it out. Timing of release is interesting (Monday) given meetings that have occurred this week, pressure building to make 'adjustments' to EPL it appears !

To be fair, we know a deal in on the cards, just don't know when or with whom. So if an M&A is announced next week then Notsofastyou has insider info ( highly unlikely, but still possible ) . If he doesn't have insider info and we do make 300p by end of next week, then he should go out right now and buy Euro Millions, Lotto and as many different scratch cards he can as his luck will certainly be in.

Rachel Reeves who served as chair of the Business, Energy and Industrial STRATEGY Committee for 3 years from 2017 to 2020 would know exactly how ridiculous the EPL is and the importance of NS to UK .... all her 'shouting' is nothing but noise imo to get elected, no way will she follow though on expanding WFT, unless she goes after the likes of the banks, if so good luck with that, she will be out on her ear quicker than you could say 'winfa....'
