The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Wolfey, afternoon to you. No one ever notices the good shots you play, but miscue one into the rough or bushes and they’ll all be there saying I still do that. Good if you’re now hitting some good shots, it makes it all the more pleasurable. Get out onto proper grass, you’d be surprised at the difference, it’s like picking a bat up for the first time again :-)
Me and her indoors are speaking but I don’t really think that we’re going to go much further unless something happens to change my current way of thinking. The bod could help my decision making very simple if they felt that way inclined :-)
Enjoy your golf mate, I’m leaving here quite soon to play.
Oh while I remember - go onto the website of a golf club near you that you like and for about £60 you get a month’s membership with 4 group lessons included and unlimited use of their course/academy course. In this weather it’s a bargain.

Dietch666, to an extent I agree. But you speak of contractors that the government award contracts to, the civil servants who continually miss their deadlines and budgets (apparently). So as you say not directed at boots on the ground as they don’t have any input into it, except to listen to the excuses made by these people who are more interested in their cats birthdays than getting in on time and giving value for money. I spent twenty nine years (except about 2 months short of it) on the receiving end and listening to excuses of delay after delay. In my latter years I kept on top of my job and subordinates to make sure deadlines were taken seriously. I think that the bod do an outstanding job personally, I just wouldn’t put up with someone’s excuses if I were the MD, CEO etc - but then I’d be considered a bully for making people do the job they’re paid to do.

Lenoman, appreciate the point, yes they probably do have to be on the ground but twice a year can’t be booked into their busy schedule? I appreciate the tough times that everyone has had over the past few years and the cautious approach that must be taken. But I’m afraid I view things in black and white (sorry twenty nine years of indoctrination in the forces) if you have a deadline meet it.

With the accounts being delayed I sincerely hope that someone is going to get a good kick up the jacksey for it. Or better still the chop, if it’s an outsourced outfit get rid of them and find someone else. If it’s internal give them a letter of warning, review the terms of reference and objectives in front of HR. I think that covers my rant :-)

The thing that makes me remain positive about the outcome for us all is the below statements lifted from RNS. Why wouldn’t someone want to buy either all or some of the assets. It’s is frustrating for anyone to see their shares showing huge losses, my normal/trading account is showing 27% in the red, my ISA a few percent down so I’m not as bad as others. I can only reiterate what I said about being positive.

Hi Shed, you said:
Also wondering what happened to the final metallurgy, this is really, really important and proyectotoral.com told us that WA would be finished towards the end of May, has that slipped as well?
I think it probably tells us what we need to know about the results ( the bod would be given a heads up on the outstanding results if they were going to be earth shattering ). Had they been significant they would have been clambering to get them published via RNS. My opinion of course but I think drift until someone can come up with something tangible to give us.
Shame really as a couple of years ago I thought that this was going to give us all a nice payout.

NWLond, yeah I get your point but eventually we’ve got to have something positive for the company and I see getting that Rocco situation put to bed as the first and most pressing step in that direction. Especially if at the worst we just get the cash back with some good will compensation or better still something in BritNRG. Only my opinion of course but I’m that far down on my investment the top up shares that I bought I’d trade just to try to recover some of my losses.

Tygra, sunny Norwich area. Off to play golf later on so that’ll keep me off the board for a while as I’ll leave here at around 2pm and won’t get back much before 8 tonight so I’ll miss quite a bit of the day on here.
Have a good day I hope you get to enjoy the sunshine.

Ian, I hope I’ve read your post correctly. Bloody good news if you now don’t have a tumour on your jaw that’s fantastic news. I wouldn’t think anyone minds them misdiagnosing something when they are actually wrong and it’s in your favour.
I would say your outpouring should be viewed as relief of the stress you’ve been under for some time.
As for should’ve, could’ve sold some, 20/20 hindsight a wonderful gift we’ve all got. Chin up mate, I hope you have a brilliant breakfast.
ATB Pete
Rise, I’ve been here 4 years now and when the news appears to have stagnated people start to turn on each other and things end up with people trying to point score off each other. It is unfortunately human nature and has been like it since I first ever found this site. As I said to Tygra, I get everyone’s frustrations, I’d like news as much as the next man but I’m not joining in with the dick swinging competition.
Time for me to get ready to go to the cinema.
ATB Pete
Tygra, good morning to you. Did you get out of the bed on the wrong side today? You really have got a downer on today. Not wanting to start a fight or argument, but wouldn’t you be better off going for a walk, run, game of golf to whatever activity you’re into and relax a bit.
Sorry mate not having a dig but you need a break. We’d all like news but it will only come when the bod are given the nod by the nomad etc. I get everyone’s frustration, but to come on here and vent your spleen just isn’t worth it. There will always be someone who will want to push your buttons to get further reactions from you.
Have a good day, I’m going to the cinema to enjoy getting lost in another Downton Abbey film for a couple of hours.
ATB Pete
Not a bad start to the day. That’s one up the ar*e for Rocco so that’s put him in his place. He’s like a worm on a fishing line wriggling away but hopefully it’ll do him no good. Let’s hope that all of the judgements go our way.
ATB Pete
Tygra, you know everything with EUA is timed to be the very last minute possible, we’ve seen it so many times before so why be surprised? It only takes a small delay in the minutest of detail and we’re in to extra time. Consider it’s like waiting for the good lady who’s getting ready to go out, it’s always extra time ;-)
ATB Pete
Les, I’ll give it a go, they’re the ones I won’t mind losing :-)
Just as a reminder for everyone on who they invested in I’ve done a copy and paste from the lower part of today’s RNS. That way when the neg heads arrive just point them at this info.

Ask them to put their info down in black and white for us all to read the way the company have, that’ll give us all a laugh.
