RE: Share volume6 Oct 2022 23:04
Here's a question, would anyone both hold shares and short at the same time a company..?
Coiled spring is the word, and inflation coming down would let that spring go!
If no confidence then sell out, or halve your holding until after results and buy back in! Oooh, tough one that, to stick or twist..
As for the shorters, imo it's just a gamble at this point, as I believe this current cycle of rinse and repeat could happen at any point in next few weeks, what could ignite this are a multitude of things such as gov statement on economy, interest rates dropping, inflation dropping, putin dying, war ending better than expected Xmas sales and a lot lot more..
The share price is leaking due to a lack of investors willing to invest at this time, hence low volumes, maybe they think price will go lower, maybe they just want to be cash rich when the rocket goes off, who knows, but what I do know is when these so called shorters cash in their profits then to the moon we will go very quickly, make your choice stick or twist, up to you.. enjoy the ride!
I have now convinced myself to buy more, another £10k worth, question is will it be before or after results.. would love to pick up some at £5 each or below..fomo!
Do I believe asos forward statement will be decent..? I'd have to say I'm leaning towards yes, I look at boohoo as a guide then think asos do it better, their brands to me are stronger, and their own label offering with high margins I think will be key going forward.
Keep the faith.
