It's actually a very interesting point, although my take on it is slightly different.

A couple of US economists I follow suggest Bitcoin (crypto in general) reacts in the opposite direction to stocks the same way a 'safe haven' such as gold does.

Now, I'm not saying for one second that crypto is a 'safe haven' - I'd never invest in it, but the poles apart economics between crypto and stocks show that one is bought rather than the other.

My different take on it is to suggest that the stocks dictate the way crypto will go, not the other way around.

That's why I don't do what you do - I'm simply not good enough to call the rollercoasters highs and lows.

LTH for me - one goal (Feb 2025) - keeping it simply helps me sleep at night.
