Gold is the best trade if you get in at the right time for a quick sale. I only do £1000 a time and it usually a gets me 30% in a day or two.

Just saying, whilst we wait for the £7 close on RR, a nice little gain on Gold is on the cards.

IITK, that's my analysis as well. He's basically saying the current SP is where it is because of future projections. As you say, he's not mentioned anything about SMR or narrow body re-entry (something that was paramount at the recent CMD).

Rather disappointing bit of journalism from Questor in my humble opinion.

It's a lot less than I expected.

Tesco MCap = 21.26B. SP = 300p

RR MCap = 24.95B. SP 296p

Looking at historic graph, I'll have to say RR is far more likely to get that 3.50/4.00 figure.

There is no organic growth for Tesco other than take overs or realised increase in current SP.

RR have far more to offer.

But call me to case when Tesco beat RR to that £4 mark (it won't happen)

SP is doesn't mean a thing. It's all about MCap. I have no idea what Tesco MCap is currently - let me have a look.....

Apologies for the lack of input recently. Back in action now after an elongated new year celebration - I trust you and your families are all well. FTSE is also down, it's to be expected - I've had a quick read through the reasons for it and without sounding aloof, they're all BS.

Just my two pennies before the big (real) start next week (8th):

RR being down to 296 is reasonable considering the huge increase leading up to 2023 close. FTSE is down the same, as always. Japan flight crash being an issue is simply untrue. Honestly, there is so much crap bantered around on this forum, I wonder if any of you should have access to your parent's computer.

So, just to be clear - SMR is a cement deal with Tufan (I saw a few of you questioning this "big deal Tufan isn't commenting on" - well.... I'll say no more!).

Barclays rating et al: 475p. I've also heard through the cat vine that our favourite Fitch are going north of their previous BB (Positive Wed 04 Oct, 2023).

That puts us one more than junk and a step closer to investment.

Tufan is an awesome business man, but not very good at keeping secrets.

If any of you watched the CMD (Capital Market Day) live, like I did, you’d have seen his desire to spill the beans. Thankfully, the CFO took over and we had an hour of core finance.

The final part of the CMD was all four senior executives answering questions.

At that point, we knew what short, mid and long term meant time wise for RR plc so we can easily put the prior news into those three sectors.

If you didn’t watch it, divs are short-mid term, narrow body re-entry is mid-long term and SMRs is a signed deal*.

*Tufan was itching to share that news.

RR has the SMR contract.

Not sure how many times I need to reiterate that.
