Pardon my poor comms - the staking doesnt but the blockchain processes need computing to run. PW has clearly stated he sees his future in wider crypto market **** coins as you say. If you dont like that you are going to have a growing dilemma with ARB at some point in the future imv.

I see the large footprint as an indication of the needs of an expanding Altcoin scenario. Staking computing needs are going to be massive and ARB will be able to utilise all computing power with future staking processes imho. Might as well grab the cheap real estate as its cost is relatively minor compared to the future returns. Remember Peter sees Mining as 1 area of a larger crypto vision. TBH i see our investments in other companies as much around gaining expertise as assets - Peter like all good visionalry CEO's is building a team with the knowledge to dominate not just mining but the overall Crypto space - thats why in 10 years he will be a household name.

I think todays announcement is great.
Peter Wall seems to be a great CEO - turning a vision into stepping stones of organisational progress - 10/10 and i really do feel that Peter will be one of those business names everyone knows of in the next 10 years - very happy overall here.
In regards to NASDAQ -i realise we need to get to $2 to qualify but I dont get why we are just sitting and waiting to get there. If we want to get on NASDAQ there are ways around the $2 limit to SP - a) Consolidate shares - 5 for 1 - takes price to circa $8 as we sit now; b) Simply list on NASDAQ with 2x UK shares per NASDAQ listing (see MTPH/TILS who used this process to get access). In short - if we want to be on NASDAQ we dont have to watch our screens waiting for $2 - given everything else being done I can only assume Peter is happy to stay as we are for a period longer. After all, what Peter wants to get, he seems to engineer to occur.

When Michael Jordan the basketball player was signing his first professional contract as no 1 draft pick, he was obsessed with getting a car and kept asking his agent what car he could get - his agent couldnt get through this and explain the tsunami of money in the drier elements of the contract. Eventually his agent went to the toyshop and bought a matchbox car and said to Michael " this is how to think of the car" and rolled it accross the desk. MJ apparently then looked properly at the contract.
I feel a little that the "value" of Tjate is kind of similar - its irrelevant to the wall of money heading our way in the core of our buisness - if we get a couple of mill great, but certainly not worth any time debating or designing a deal imho.
True to that, I wont comment on Tjate again (probably much to all of of your relief!)

Good Morning
For me, Tjate is a sell only - we are fast agile and bring projects to cash in max 18 months - Tjate = 5-10 years. This isnt just ESG positioning (though i do value this) - Our fast turnaround of cash in to cash out will lead to a higher P/E than traditional miners as we produce a better ROI - if we start a traditional mine, that will be dashed.
We have 100+ years of mining tailings globally to allow us to soak up the problem of how to reinvest our cash earned in new agile projects - why would we want to go for a project with more risk and similar / less return and longer lead time. In your own life, if i offer you a return of 20% next week or next year for similar risk - you would take sooner for the cash every time!
The fact we happen to own Tjate is neither here nor there in those calcs- sooner an offer is made for Tjate the better- just for neatness and clarity of our strategic intent to the market.
Hope we get a project update to give the SP a little boot up the jacksie soon

I was completely spiked on this share - i am not a novice investor but got this one wrong and it has given me real pain over the last few months - havent felt that bad about an investment for 5+ years. My first tranche is now almost at my original sell point but I am really not sure i will sell.
Contribution of £2.50 per test x 2m tests = £5m contribution per week - £260m per annum.
Even if government doesnt take all tests - globally there will be demand - we have a good test and once govmt buys it is a strong advert. Also testing looks to be here for a while - therefore reappraising my sell point on the fly and thinking much higher now.
If i can see that, so can others - gets derisked on the first govment order and I then think we will quickly rerate to 250p to 300p on that day and then slowly rise up to the £5-£6 mark.
All speculation but at least the knot in my stomach has gone!

Just my opinion but I dont think the current rise is being driven by the corporate attendees with Saylor. My assumption is that the PR is driving more PI's and wealth managers to take a position. Even in the quickest corporate environment, there is a process of approval prior to a strategic change such as holding BTC - you will be dealing with often the most conservative of Finance dudes internally and remember its still a ballsy play - hero or zero to be the early adopter - Michael Saylor covers Microstrategy approach and it taking 1 month in one of his vids - so that 1 month for him in a quick moving company.
This isnt negative - I do expect there to be an impact but i think it will come in the next 3 months - there will be some push to be early to market to get BTC but corporates usually arent that fast to take the size of positions we would want.
I worked with Luca Maestri (CFO of Apple) in the past and he wasnt the most accepting of crypto then - however it was some time ago - does anyone know if Apple were present - if they, with their cash decide to go public - that would de-risk the decision for many others with their boards imho.

TBH - I have been investing 15 or so years and I have had large and small companies. However until recently I have not had a share moving from small to large company so quickly as JLP (and in case you are curious ARB) is doing. I see the rise of II's mainly as a good thing - their interest allows the share price to rise and give us exits or slicing points and given the size of the company the capital sizes transferring also increases.
The only downside I can see is that as II's must act in their percieved best interests of its investors - the risk of takeover / corporate action rises for relatively low returns.
If you look at the forecasts for JLP based on freecash flow we are going to be a major in 3 years and knocking on FTSE 100 in that time - very impressive and as a PI I expect, or indeed prefer, II activity in those FTSE shares - good liquidity in those markets is my eexpectation.

I suppose age is a factor. When VAL was young it could erect a SP rise at will, but its an older share now and after the August blow-out, its eating raw egg and steak in order to be ready for next time.

I would agree with some of your reasoning if TILS were a group of first time round the block managers. But they arent, even before the new CMO, then theres the new CMO, then theres the pre-applied listing to raise circa $100m. So if it comes to it, we have the product, we have the team and we have the money. Only thing left to provide is time and I can do that - can you?

Today so far 8% - lets see what the end of the week brings - hopefully at least 25% up

Too much adrenaline without an outlet brewing here. Keep calm - we have bought a ticket and standing up on the bus doesnt make it go where we want anymore than sitting down. We have an amazingly good asset - the market may be turbulent but like the veritable cork, we will get back to the top each time. Just need patience.

Well, not quite the day i hoped for but whether a lth or sth i think we will finish the week over 200p and nearer 250p than the 200p. So whilst i would like to take one of my average downs out to balance the portfolio a little better - i can wait for the number i want (was hoping it may have sailed past and then some today). PR, PR,PR now - not only for share but also to push for covid early adoptions.
If i had to guess a close and it will be a guess - i would say 184p.

MikieS - really good point on the broker note. Given the relatively new rise in Mcap, the new II's, both, in addition to the project progress - I am surprised that there isnt more broker coverage being initiated. I think we are within a range on our forecasts but it certainly has more gravitas when the city make them. I can only guess the broker we currently have doesnt feel they have the data available to make a current forecast.
