First batch £10k loss… via ISA… and then via pension… £8k… suspect slightly more following todays drop. I still hold a decent chunk but I’ve been guilty of deluding myself that one day I’ll break even.

If the market thought there is money to be made here the shares wouldn’t be in free fall. Forget the conspiracy theories, keep your tin hat on and be prepared for the worse case scenario. I’ve written this share off in my portfolio and sucked up the loss. Clearly the end game doesn’t look as sweet to the market as we dream it to be daily….

We know the demerger has been planned for months… it’s just now a case of crossing the i’s and the t’s… it will happen before the end of the year… For those not opting for a slice of Ingenuity will get more shares in THG and at the current low price means that when this re-rates you’ll be in a more favourable position… Hopefully you follow this logic… This is the last hoorah for the market makers and shorts and they will and are making the most of it. Keep the faith.

No apologies required. You are not alone with your frustration. It’s been the singular worst investment of my 30+ years of active investing. The BOD should hang their heads in shame. I hold faith that we will get our pay day but maybe not just yet. Keep the faith.

I’m sure I’m not alone in saying that most days I feel like I’m at the races and shouting at my screen, cheering on the SP. Complete madness with most days falling at a number of hurdles… Will THG ever be that thoroughbred we all want to back… I hope so.

I’ve been buying the dips since Oct 21… and everytime I think it can’t sink lower… it does… This share never ceases to amaze me… One day it might come right but the number of false dawns has led me to be realistic. And yes I participated in the Placing… and even then it dipped lower… If there wasn’t a huge amount of doubt and risk then the market would’ve rerated this last week… One day…

A decent UT and some nice chunky buys after the bell…

Sorry. Just seen this explosion of messages. If I invest in the placing am I right in saying it’s being taken private so how are new shares traded? So if I stick some cash into the placing… how do I realise that investment and monitor the share price? I’m being chased by my broker and max deadline is 8.00pm…

The market thinks MM can’t pull this off. I’m beginning to think that too. If that comes to fruition then this share will plummet to new depths. This always was a risky share and I and many others are paying the price. However, no amount of ranting will ever change its course. Time to put our tin hats on… again!

Any insight into why this dropped today? Did the market not like the pre H1 update?

I’ve long had a concern that THG doesn’t have the right leadership, with battle scars and industry knowledge… Let’s look at Nutrition… the CEO doesn’t look like they’ve worked anywhere else other than THG after leaving Uni… worked their way up the ladder… Now I know MM likes to promote internally grown people, but the CEO job requires industry wide skill and experience of running a large global business. And I doubt the CEO will challenge MM, and is forever in his debt for the promotions… You need a balance of youth and grey hair… Does anyone else share these concerns?
