Given the increasing Short activity there is obviously a chance the VAT refund isn’t coming and given THG have stopped charging VAT there could even be a chance they need to dig deep… It’s one long soap opera… with zero enjoyment..

I think everyone has forgotten MM’s comments about subsidising so the cost of goods to the consumer will continue to remain stable but they will no longer need to subsidise and hence margins will improve as a consequence.

Unless the HMRC pull a rabbit out the hat…

For what’s its worth if there was any wrong doing or even the slightest of under hand activity then the weekend press would’ve been all over it. I’ve scanned The Times and nothing. Given the history I fully understand how some people are trying to second guess and fear the worst. Time will tell…

I want to believe that an offer could come be a possibility but also the defeated part of me thinks no one wants to do business with MM. Maybe the past few years has eroded his resolve and might be open to an offer. Now that’s the undefeated part of me coming out!

The bit which grinds with me is the total honesty that he hasn’t worked anywhere else. Started at MyP and worked his way up… so zero industry knowledge… always reminded me of Bugsy Malone… Just sit for 30 seconds and think how the business would benefit from having someone with industry knowledge, battle scars from being a senior leader, and the confidence to run the business without being in the shadow of MM and in his debt…

Having now viewed the last four invoices my take is that the VAT has been adjusted in the price and thus providing a small uplift to THG. It looks like this started from Q2 and therefore THG will engineer, by default, an improved MyP performance when they report H1 even with flat sales. Now if you add in a continued improvement in sales and then coupled with this H1 will be quite healthy. Just maybe… and lets not get too excited… and let’s not forget there is Beauty as well… But we might just be able to smell that jam in the distance…

You’re absolutely spot on. I’ve just checked my last couple of Invoices and no VAT applied. Great spot!

But if PI’s had some clear statements of discontent then we can petition the board, press and anyone else that wishes to listen… There has to come a time when PI’s have waited long enough…

But what would be the key things you would protest about? Not the conspiracy theory nonsense that gets rammed down throats… I’d be up for some constructive discussion to form a manifesto of complaints that we can present to the board. I’d be interested in views as to the specific and tangible things that would form part of that protest manifesto…

One thing is for sure… you have to keep the faith and just maybe April 21st might be the day etched in the history books when a series of positive updates is the defibrillator this share needs… 🤞

Not sure how the moderator works for this board but my short message hoping to recover losses and turn my back on THG has been removed…

Mine is 72p and whilst it would be a dream come true there is part of me that would want some premium for the years of angst… But to get out of this with no losses and the ability to turn my back on THG would be like winning the lottery!

I suspect it’s more a case of getting their fingers burnt again. Look at every director purchase and tell me they, like us, don’t regret sticking their hard earned cash into the fire pit…

Or maybe as an attempt to arrest the SP decline… Let’s not all overthink this that there is a master plan, it only leads to disappointment…
