Not quite @stanleyb. MM said on today’s webcast that they are already subsidising their products (MyP) and as such the changes on VAT will not filter down to the consumer but improve margins. Sounds good to me.

As a LTH I’ve been in this position so many times… the only joy is that tiny flicker of hope that there is some light at the end of this tunnel.. but every time, and I mean every single time, by the end of the announcement I’ve been sucker punched in the stomach… I will not fall into the trap of thinking there will be any good news. There never is. Anyway, Good luck to everyone. 👏

Great news. MyProtein looks to be dominating most supermarkets… The business of THG has never looked so strong and the results and forward picture should move the dial… but then we said that when the governance issues were resolved… when it joined the FTse250… MM relinquished his Golden Share… Inqenity was carved off to stop THG from funding losses… What else have I missed…?

70p would put me out of my misery. Still losing money but if everyone got the same then there is no FOMO. Please pull the trigger!

Interesting LinkedIn post by MM… good to see the reduction in headcount but for the life of me I don’t know who will be buying goods and services in the future if everyone is replaced by robots…

The intrinsic link between a one or two pence SP price movement either way has on your mental health… Doesn’t matter how well your portfolio is performing when you get hit over the head daily, and for little explicable reasoning, with THG. Week after week… month after month… year after year… And whilst I should just sell up and take another bloody nose I don’t want that acknowledgment that I got it so wrong.

All related to the dealings between Cooksons company and THG when, I think, MP was purchased. A ruling today has quashed THG request to dismiss the case. I’m not bright enough to research and fully understand the impact but I suspect somewhere down the line this is going to hurt shareholders. If anyone knows more please post it to educate myself and probably others.

Damned whichever way Ingenuity went… I recall many vocalising that Ingenuity was draining THG and needed to be split off which it was and investors given an opportunity to invest… Now because it’s doing better people are screaming foul play…

Thanks for the various positive posts @Craftyinvestor - We need to remind ourselves of the business we have invested in and the potential. I remain positive that this could all flip around in an instance… Delighted to see you back on the pitch.

When all hope is diminished I’ll sell up and take a bloody nose. Until then there are good days and bad days but I still have belief that this will all come good. I don’t share the same vitriol for MM given the scale of good his foundation has brought and do believe without question people create a narrative to appease their bad investment decisions. This board, to many, is a means to vent and provide some validation that they are not alone. I get that. We all want the same thing and to all investors we should remain united otherwise you have to question why you remain invested if it’s causing such pain. Investing isn’t for the faint hearted.

This could all change overnight and then MM will be hailed a hero…

If… whey prices and the yen move favourably… if they can sell another non core asset… VAT refund is successful… Debt fully repaid… and then THG will print cash even at today’s turnover levels… and the business is growing… We might get a Bobby Ewing in the shower moment…

I have had that same question many times… but looking back the business has never been in such a better shape… far from perfect but much improved… The MyProtein brand is everywhere and that alone must start to become attractive to outside buyers. I said to my wife the other day when I bought a few more shares… “in for a penny” for which she quipped back…”Out for a penny more like…” She is enjoying the ride as much as me… I’d say stick with it until H1 results… and maybe we will get out with more than a penny…
