Another day where the opportunity cost of holding Harbor contrinues to rise

Markets at or around all time highs and our investment continues to slumber. I realise oilers are not in favour, but what can be done to get some capital appreciation?

Yes I realise results are due, but beneficial effects dont seem to last very long. Resolving BASF and the EPL would be ideal, but a positive resolution on those things could be way off. There are always many "reasons to be cheerful" but we continue to be in the doldrums

I studied the last buyback closely and kept the spreadsheet updated that many here were happy to refer to. We had all the same discussions regarding % of shares being cancelled and what it could do for earnings and yield. End result.....nada

I think its probably best if you put me on ignore if you find my comments facile. I find yours arrogant, so lets agree to differ and not clog up this board with arguments

I like the principle of buybacks, but I would once again remind people of what happened the last time....

A lengthy period with zero capital appreciation as the market seemingly facilitated the selling of millions of shares from the large holders. At the end of it all, the increased yield didnt do much, and supposedly increased EPS was negated by the fact we swung into post tax loss thanks to EPL

Its all good in principle, but the reality is, other factors seem to render it rather pointless.....unless you hold for an indefinite period into the far future perhaps?

Surely the cash would be better spent driving growth in say Mexico or Argentina?

I realise we have to be rather patient over the next few months, but I hope we arent going to get a repeat of this warrant share dampener every time we go to the 20p+ area

Desperately need some liquidity in this listing, as its been NT to sell for ages and buying in size is also tricky

I knew this was a real minnow before I bought into the story, but we can only hope that the tie up with our two power company partners will inject some life into this listing

People who bought on the takeover announcement at £3+ ?

....though it is to see the wider market doing so well with this bunch of clowns ruining GB PLC. its still demoralising to continually miss out on the markets good days

Getting rather fed up of hearing how very underbalued Harbor is. Starting to feel like a buy out will be our only hope of salvation

Hopefully Brent having another go at $70 will push us on next week, past this stubborn short term resistance at 207

Surely we must be due some positive newsflow, or must we wair for the next trading update?

Pure conjecture on my part, but theres been a few 25k, 50k and 165k round number trades in last few days. I wonder if they are the remaining warrant shares washing through the system?

Yes I just noticed the same....effective bid has risen from 18.2 to 18.6 today with no apparent reason. With Sareum it always seems to be smoke and mirrors - especially when MMs maintain a wide spread

Its not that the warrant conversion has caused a big price drop, its the fact its completely snuffed out the upward momentum that had been building

I had hoped we had seen the last of the 2s but the complete dearth of real deal news/PR has seen the drift resume

Well just like the last time the share price breached 20p, a dollop of warrants stop the rise and turn us round

We have little choice but to let the latest chunk wash through the market, and hope it doesnt prompt too many people to sell out

Needs a break above 207, but volumes are tiny and there seems little appetite for any serious buying. Happy to be back over £2 but the giddy heights of £3+ are now a year behind us

Without reading back through the RNSs, were some of the warrants issued in lieu of fees? If so they might just want their debt settled.

Other than that its hard to say...maybe they just want to cash some in after SARs recent rise. Still find it strange, but perhaps its a case of taking some profits - after all the 500k would yield £32.5k profit at 19p
