Looks like the short term upward momentum has been temporarily paused. Few too many people sold this afternoon imho though volumes arent really significant and maybe some trades arent in the right column

Real spread on 20k is 20.72 - 21.30 currently

Someone sold a few to drop the offer down from 22p?

Disappointing to be lower despite Brent near $69 but I think the whole market is waiting on Trumps 5pm tariff proclomations

Well the effective bid with A J Bell has risen from 20.2p to 20.71 today, so its gradually happening in the background I guess

Well despite the larger than expected OPEC+ output hike, Brent hasnt dropped and is instead heading toward $68 again.

Has probably been helped by the Saudis raising prices to customers across the board

Of course its pure coincidence that this boad has been plagued by non-Sareum posts just at a time when the share price has been been rising, and people might want to debate it

Less than 10k of todays volume (6m) has been AT trades. Thats v unusual by SEE standards

Looks like MMs may have access to a supply......thats a fair few 10k buys at 20p that have failed to move the offer

Having said that, the bid is moving higher so hopefully the dam will burst soon :)

Very hard to tell the buys and sells today.....all I can say is the price of a dummy sell has gone from 18.24 to 18 today

Agreed....however the last time we got to the 20p areas, it spurred some people into forward selling warrant shares. Lets hope the increased positivity means history wont repeat itself.

Hopefully people will see that the clock is ticking down towards some good times and a deal of some sort

In any event, we need some good corporate news re BASF or a strong trading update to move the share price past next resistance at 207-217.

Its started to drift on low volume, which will helps shorting crews protect their positions.

Well I sense our MMs have become just a little more inclined to raise prices since the presentation on not really any volume.

Aye I know of the 30% rule, but I just cant help thinking that where theres billionaires involved, theres deals to be done, and convenient ways round the ruled to be found. Waivers have been known, and even if not, perhaps Slim could take say half the BASF stake to get him up to 29.9%?

Im sure Linda doesnt want the BASF exit saga to drag on endlessly and be another drag on the share price

With all the potential developments in Mexico, what if a corporate vehicle controlled by Carlos Slim were to acquire the BASF stake?

He could certainly raise the funds at current share prices, and would provide a faster exit for BASF
