Its either 2 large holders trading blocks between themselves or instis moving stuff between funds. In the past, it has sometimes signalled Carlos Slim acquiring more shares

HBRs accounts, by necessity are a complicated read, full of detail. So I always look for the "Total Equity" line on the Balance Sheet to see if the company has actually grown.

Im curious......its risen from $6251m to $6437m (which is good) but all of that gain (in fact more than all) is attributable to subordinated notes investors. Anyone care to explain?.....its been a long day

As you seem convinced buybacks are a great thing, might I suggest you trawl backl over three years ago and dig out the information. I remember at the time, the morningstar insti listings posted on here pointed to several large holders supplying shares. EIG included

Yes I saw that. Not quite sure what "pre-funded" means exactly but presumably they have allocated some of the free cash to clear the $1.4bn due in 2025 and 2026. After that, yes its 2028

We do hold a mini-mountain of cash, but its probably a condition of some of the bonds, that we cant splurge it all on whatever we like.

Could be wrong. Perhaps some it is earmarked for repaying the debt due this year and 2026

I think some of the large holders will supply plenty of the shares for buyback, just like they did the last time

Even with the stronger pound reducing the divi to around 9.87p I still make that a yield of circa 8.5% being paid by a rapidly strengthening company

Excluding funds that might be short as part of a hedging stategy, they have a choice of either gradually closing, or trying to get a grip on the price and supressing the rise, as they have done in the past

That could be considerably more difficult this time round, given all the good stuff in those numbers

Indeed.....and looking at the company's debt maturity profile in the Notes theres very little to be concerned about in the next two years. Near term bonds will either repaid in cash, or refinanced further out past 2030 imho

Everything very positive (especially the reduction in net debt). However lets hope the city doesnt fixate on the loss after taxation and the 111% effective tax rate.

If they do release a really positive set of numbers, with no hidden doom and gloom, it would be nice to see the share price break higher above 207, then 217. But then again this is HBR we are talking about lol

Well despite a few 500k buys and a 6m going through earlier, the overall market reaction is complete apathy. Just how many on track KPIs will it take for people to make this turn round?
