Its nice to have, but HBR have more important fish to fry

This is hopefully a better way for the share price to rise - ie on good two way business, rather than the usual spikes that end badly

I may have to alter that to first thing Monday mornings as they are releasing the trade info first thing on the following day it seems. Previously they would do so at around 6pm the same day

Surely if the city liked the idea, they could get a syndicate of lenders/investors to take up some new long-dated bonds in orer to buy out the BASF stake? This would avoid putting a big dent in existing cash resources

Im sure theres a mountain of city red tape in such cases - ie would they have to offer all investors what they offer BASF?

However I guess it would all depend on the metrics after the deal.....a big chunk of new debt but a massively increased share of the pie for existing investors. Perhaps the shares could be kept in treasury for the purposes of further deal making?

Since that date (which you have somewhat strangely recorded or looked up) we have had excellent results as you well know. A $100m buyback program is a just a pleasant sideshow. It will remove between 30-35 million shares out of 1.44bn to start with. Hopefully you will have reason to still be smug in around 6 months time as we will all have made money

Dont be a smug git Sekforde....shares are going up based on good results and going xdiv in 2 days. I doubt very much whether buybacks are a major factor on day 3 ffs. Brent is down a whole 25c so hardly a collapse

For the record, Im a holder and hope this buyback is a roaring success. HBR is a totally different animal now and can hopefully prosper in a sub $70 Brent period

The only you can say is that it will be marked down circa 9.8p on open to reflect the xd. After that who knows....most people's HBR crystal balls have been sent back for repairs :)

Without wishing to tempt fate, hopefully this can trigger another move above 20p Hopefully this time without it triggering the conversion of loads more warrant shares!

If they had dropped this kind of RNS, the last time the 'herd' was on board (April to June 24) I think we would have got a considerably better reaction. Im not saying the herd is a postive influence, but the subsequent downward move over 14 months has left people very cautious and battle weary. 3% jeez.....

SAR has finite cash resources currently without milking investors again. Anything that potentially gives maximum 'bang for buck' is okay with me (for the time being)

At currently purchase rate the buyback would conclude in around 115 trading days

There are probably tens of thousands of small private limited companies just like this. They are legally allowed to file basic cut down accounts....and who knows, some may turm out to be the next big thing

Without knowing what products they offer and the ££ changing hands, its hard to calculate value. Hopefully the mere inclusion of AI in RNSs will spark interest in SAR among the investor community

Those accounts are actually to June 2024, and it looks pretty much in its start up phase

Its very common for one band companies to have unpaid share capital, as they literally forget to put the tiddly amount of funds into the account when they form the company

Its very much about what its doing currently and what its capable of.....there must be a reason why they chose Receptor AI (and preferably not involving brown enevlopes to friends..... KIDDING!)

I will post a weelkly update on a Friday with a nrief running update on the buybacks. If it doesnt interest you, fair enough but please dont slag me off, as plenty of people were last time round (and I do love a spreadsheet lol)

What I personally want to see this time round is the rolling VWAP price paid to be below the actual share price. This would indicate the share price showing strength through the period, unlike last time when the opposite happened

.....which Ive had pencilled in for a while as a reasonablly important target.

Beyond this, Im looking at 243 short term, which coincidentally is around the intra day high reached last Thursday on results.

After that we are entering a range up to 283p in which HBR traded sideways/lower during October 2024 to January this year

No posts here for three days and traded volume barely over half a mill by 2pm

Pleased to see it starting as I am happy to give it the benefit of the doubt. Perhaps the underlying company strength will see a better share price performance compared to last time
