Pleasantly surprised to see us hold the 25p bid into the close (just). Fully expected traders to knock us back with some profit taking

Sekforde is a proponent of HBR buybacks, I am not really.....its all good as we are entitled to opinions

I guess my underlying concern is that in a share like HBR, there will always be a factor like the Brent price, EPL, OPEC or shorters that will exert a greater pull on company value than the effects of a buyback

28p is the next important test according to my tea leaves, I mean, weekly bar chart :)

Out of nowhere we suddenly get a spurt of buying. Does someone have more warrants they need to convert? :)

Joking aside, lets hope we will now see some genuine FOMO begin to kick in

Putting my positive hat on, yesterday saw the highest number of shares and lowest daily VWAp paid so far. Unfortunately we are now 7p under the running vwap, but a couple of good days and that could all change

To those that are saying its great buying back shares down here at these levels, I say possibly yes, but only if you believe the longer term benefits to yield/eps will show through. Im sceptical as they didnt before after a larger buyback

As I said yesterday, I hope this one proves a resounding success, however I remain unconvinced.

Over six months since the last really meaningful news which was the results and sale of 50% in HALO

This is why Im not actually a great fan of HBR buybacks. If the shares turn lower, we start to be more and more out of pocket on the shares repurchased at higher levels, and the whole thing becomes a theoretical exercise in EPS (haha) and yield improvement long term

For the record, I hope it turns into a resounding success, but my old misgivings are starting to surface

I agree and this usually manifests itself in a dearth of buying day to day. The only exception to this are the spurts of activity that suspiciously occur just before some more warrants get converted. Yes I know thats a chicken & egg type scenarion, but I remain sceptical - this is the AIM cesspit after all

A low-key week in line with another disappointing week for the share price. We are now 'underwater' by 4pps compared to the vwap price paid to date. Friday did see the highest daily numbers of shares repurchased to date, and the highest daily £ spend. Hopefully this is a sign they think value is around the current level?

Based on $100m = £74m, buyback is projected to last 121 days / 101 days remaining

Starting to look a wee bit sickly, with the underlying share price falling away from the average price paid to date (which still stands at 2.29)

Certainly no the end of the world, but could do with a reversal to nip this in the bud

I didnt want to jinx the day, hence my touchwood comment :)

I agree with Potnak, exercising the warrants around these levels doesnt seem worth the effort, unless the holder is very risk averse and wants to reduce their average cost as low as possible.

Was pleased to see no warrants RNS this morning, so hopefully yesterdays two largeish sells werent forward trades linked to warrants (touchwood).

Would like to see this move breach and hold over 28p, this being the intra day high of the last uptick
