RE: govt work27 Sep 2020 21:38
Whiling away an idle moment waiting for a train connection yesterday, I happened across a coy of something called The Daily Mirror, a publication I am hardly familiar with.
Imagine my surprise when I alighted across a Covid-testing story involving an obscure Cheshire-based private company, goes under the name of REVIV Global.
Well, blow me down, the Co. has just appointed as director a brother of no-less than our very own PM, name of Max Johnson. Lives in Asia apparently, bit of a distance from Cheshire if you ask me.
No matter, them Zoom connections are amazing nowadays I hear.
Anyway, the journo done a splendid job by speaking to two of the Co.directors. The first, a Dr. M. Barnish (without any Varnish) openly opined that the appointment could hopefully "open doors".
You bet! The Co. Is coincidentally offering private Covid-19 antigen tests at £89 each. The Dr appeared to be in the know that talks [with the nhs] had occurred with his CEO, and the giveaway "and obviously Max Johnson,etcetera...there are talks going on."
The second was a more formal CEO, a certain Ms Lomas who in a statement asserted "His familial connection to the UK Prime Minister does not give REVIV an advantage..." Played with a straight face one assumes.
The moral to this story is that it shows the fierce competition Ygen is up against as previously diverse companies with so much as a test-tube and a pipette in their armoury sniff the potential of the Moonshot/Moonshine riches.
