Well, the knockers are certainly out here this new year, perhaps they are directly proportional to the severity of the tier/ lockdown prevailing at the time?
This of course follows a long tradition of knockers who delight in knocking innovative British companies located at the cutting edge of technological advances. When that company is focused on health-care issues intended to address life-issues, then that knocking is hard to justify.
Lest the knockers forget, the company is in expansionist mode which takes time to develop. The current world-wide restrictions are unfortunate but will not be permanent. The whole covid testing diversion does not yet appear to have helped materially.
The usual outcome of persistent knocking is that high-tech companies such as this end up being sold to foreign multi-nationals who can see beyond near-term turbulence, and at a fraction of the company’s true worth. Note that the two biggies who already have a material interest here -TF and Illumina - do not appear to be agitating for change/improvement. They sit patiently and await progress.
Far be it from me to advise the knockers, but this investment may not be for you. In which case, perhaps sell-up, get off the tippy-tippy and stop living in your mother’s spare bedroom.
