Still a degree of chance with display, at least in the short term. Sales volume depends on how well they move off the shelves- these products aren't cheap. I'm inclined to think we will be waiting well into 2019 for display sales to show real growth. I believe we are now at the stage I would have hoped to have been at a year ago, although we do have the addition of the mysterious US partner which is really what has pushed up the share price IMO. The funding from them has removed most doubt of a need for further fund raising beyond 2019.

If Nanosys were supplying AUO you’d be hearing plenty about it.

That's a projection, so it could fall short of those expectations or exceed them. Also worth bearing in mind many other avenues now materializing, which could prove as profitable or more so. Difficult to predict with any accuracy the profits generated by future sales, as cost will be constantly under pressure, but a share price well into double figures could be a reality if the industry proceeds in line with those predictions. Forward vision still clouded by NDA's, and we have yet to see a healthy balance sheet with regards incoming payments for materials sold.

Interesting he said can take up to 24 months to develop display products, before he has said about a year. That may mean either they've been working with companies earlier than we might think and TV releases are not far away, or it could mean a wait into the second or third quarter of next year.

Nvidia are working with loads of companies on autonomous cars, so it's very likely they will use slightly different sensor configurations, and they'll be a bit of a battle of systems before a standard is consolidated.

THe spec, if to be believed seems to exceed Samsung though. 2500nits versus 2000, and they list a 1000 dimming zones, when�s Samsung are described as having hundreds.

I think that's directly related to lower pricing. They were charging too much for the sets before.

If we take on board what has been said today and before with regards to display and time from engagement to product of one year, then really as Dow and Wah Hong have only been commercial since May and July, then we can�t expect products to appear before then. All the same the gaming displays look set to appear before then, and maybe we�ll see a telly or two before the end of the financial year. It appears the delayed implantation or a Cadmium ban did a lot of harm to the sales potential of cad free QD in display.

He did say in the presentation that display products with Nanoco dots were now in mass production, and that the first products would be gaming monitors.
