RE: re nanosys news13 Sep 2018 13:15
I've said this before, but I believe that Samsung have very likely shared their CFQD tech with Nanosys. They mentioned a while back that they may share tech to give QLED a lift in the market, and bearing in mind they have a significant stake in the company, it would make sense to go with them.
Nanosys have existing infrastructure to supply up to 25 tons of QD's, assuming that's metric tons, then that's enough to supply around 25 million TV's, plenty for the QLED display market going into the 2020's.
The lack of any updates re two significant shows suggest to me that the gig is up with display for Nanoco, and are now doubling down on the sensor market. However that is unlikely to bring sufficient revenue to keep the company solvent beyond end of 2019 without significant revenue from elsewhere. So we are likely back to a further fund raise.
