I'm not aware of Sony or LG having any current QD based screens/TV's on the market, care to point them out.

The other companies are using Nanosys, or in Samsung's case Nanosys/Hansol, but beyond the big S they only have a model or two at most, and it's tiny volume. Dow are not going to put their facility into gear unless they have the market for tons of dots. AFAIK Nanosys aren't operating at their full capacity, so the quantum dot market is still yet to ramp.

What do you suggest Nanoco do, hold the companies at gunpoint until they use their dots.The 13 oem's they're working with are all likely to be at various stages, and many may not make it to final production. On the other hand, many might come to fruition very suddenly. We just don't know, we just have to wait and see.

QD Display has been slow to materialize across the industry. Only Samsung have taken a a stab at it with any conviction, and even they seem to be waving the white flag on the high end with one of their LCD fabs being turned over OLED with QD enhancement.

Perhaps the lower end of the market is content with the performance of standard LCD, and if they're to put their cash down for QDLCD, then it has to be cheaper. This may mean grinding further cost out, or perhaps the TV's will have to progress to QD filters before the market looks at them seriously.

Either way the diversity of use is a good thing, if display doens't materialize as predicted, then we have other strings to our bow. If it does come good, then it's all gravy.

I'd agree with that- AFAIK Apple don't as such make hardware, they contract it out to other companies, but they do have exclusive arrangements.

Prelim's were nine months ago. Since then, ME stated Q4 2018 for first display, since then no further updates. Do get the feeling they're treading water.

That's more speculative projection than evidence. I'm referring to the CEO's own words about when the first display product was due for launch. Clearly there is a problem somewhere, whether it be price or performance, or a bit of both..

As I've stated in the past, I've been looking for revenue from display, which is absent.

Three deadlines now slipped, with no further evidence that display is being commercialized with Nanoco tech.

The management team clearly want investors to focus on the deal with the US , which is significant, but we don't want all out eggs, or should that be apples, in one basket.

Tht's really a question that can only be answered by the company, assuming they wish to elaborate. My guess would be that the US corporation want to see a proof positive that they can produce the product required to a repeatable standard over a reasonable period of time.

Another possibility is that it's a ruse, and the stress test is really a head start in manufacturing for release of a device in the Autumn of 2019.

I'm not invested in QMC at all. I well remember a poster over on ADVFN continually blowing the trumpet for them when the share price was a lot higher. His argument was the flow process was the only way the industry would take QD tech seriously for mass production, and that the batch process was a dead-end. That may well be so, eventually, but I think it's still chicken and egg situation, the industry has to scale to make it cheap, but will it scale unless it's cheap?

To be fair, that share price has always been extremely choppy, and it has been there before. very few shares are performing well at the moment, very mercurial market.

I rather suspect most are watching and waiting for updates on display and completion of the new facilities. AGM not far off.

Smoke and mirrors. Recall a similar state of affairs a year ago with reports the iphone X not selling well, then it turned out to be a hot seller after all. 2018 is an interim year for Apple, so next years release should be far more cutting edge.

I'd say they can massively reduce their executive team, as it seems top heavy, and they're not earning their keep.
