I believe VR will remain a more niche/geeky tech IMO. Some pundits are anticipating that Apple's first product in this arena will be more aimed at developers, and that the second generation product will be a more mainstream unit. AR will be in everything though, once they get the form factor shrunk down. Going to take a few more years though I think- so many challenges to overcome- battery life, processor heat management, display resolution and brightness in small form factor, not withstanding the need for a device bristling with sensors and cameras, all in a stylish package that doesn't make the user look like Joe 90.

I think Mitsubishi Chemical is the most likely partner, as they supply to TSMC and are a top ten Asian chemical manufacturer.

Seen this share down in the 5-6p band, with no sign of commercialisation.

I'm sure that's extremely likely, but until that's the case, the share price is likely to remain choppy.

I'm referring to the wider Nanoco share market- price has dropped from early mid 50's to the early to mid 30's since the first court date postponement.

It's been capable of generating that revenue for two or three years, however we are still waiting to see commercialisation.

As the company has faced so many false dawns, it's understandable that confidence is low.

Been invested in this company for over six years now, so a few more months won't make any difference, especially as the company is well funded.

There's a possibility the trial will go ahead this year, but with around ten weeks to the new year, and with just a couple of available slots, Q! 2023 is more looking likely IMO.

Not difficult to reason out that it won't be a phone for smaller volumes. and that the routes to commercialisation for QD enhanced IR sensors are at present focused on a few areas of which AR is one and most likely to be a first adopter.

The first Apple AR/VR set is long rumoured to be a hardware heavy beast aimed primarily at developers with a high price tag, so the volume is likely to be fairly low for a consumer device.

My own thoughts are that Apple will be uncomfortable using a lead based product in anything that is mass market , however small the amount of lead, and that a cleaner material is in development and will be rolled out in the medium term for adoption in a device that will be sold in the hundreds of millions, whether it be handsets or AR/VR hardware.

I think it'll take that German injunction to twist Samsung;s arm into serious negotiation for a settlement, so 18 month wait at best for a payday from them. Anything earlier is a bonus.

In the meantime organic growth is key for underpinning any share gains. Encouraging to hear Nanoco have some exclusive materials in infra red subject to trade secret.

If we assumed four times the royalty for QD OLED, as they use far more dots then with QLED royalty of say $18 per unit that would equal almost $360m per annum.

Two more wavelengths in the SWIR band have been added since the last update, and almost double the customers for infra red sensing.

Market will be very large i believe once it starts to scale. very likely more significant than display.

18 moths for PTAB appeal- urghh! That could potentially push us towards 2024 before someone sees the colour of Samsung's money.

I thought PTAB appeals typically took about six months? If so a verdict on that shouldn't be far away.

Samsung could stretch things out another year if they wish, and bearing in mind they're bloody minded that's a distinct possibility that any investors shoudl factor in.

Nanoco is not a stock I would choose to dip in and out of.

I believe most of us are actually looking for news of commercial contracts worth a good deal more than 20% lift in revenue and which visibility was originally pencilled in for H2 22, of which we only have about ten weeks left to run. Perhaps they will save such news for the AGM but we shall see.

I don’t think a court case date can be far away now. We’re now over a month past the original date, and I’d expect the date to be this side of Christmas.

Honestly the more I read, the greater my confidence in a positive outcome grows. What a bunch Samsung are. I'm sure we don't know the half of it either.
