I had hoped we’d get an RNS this week confirming a date for end of year results, but perhaps it’ll be next week, unless the company are planning on delaying the results like last year.

Think he is getting his millions mixed up with billions.

I think if this wins in court I'd expect something higher, but we'll see.

Samsung think QD IP is free!

Would like to get some positive news on the organic side of the business, beyond the court case.

Not Nanoco's QD's but this details advantages of QD SIWR, and points the way of grand things to come with STMicro's scaling.

Court case aside, we have some other events on the near horizon. We have the results to be announced, hopefully with some update on sensor contracts/business. Then there should be the AGM before Christmas.

I guess the case got kicked down the priority list after it was deferred, so we will have to wait for the schedules to clear before a slot appears where Nanoco get first refusal on the case. My guess is probably December or possibly the New Year, if going by the schedule last time. If we get it sooner so much the better.

No updates since 21st September.

As I understand it the infra red QD's use a completely different chemistry to the dots used for display, and don't involve cadmium.

As some will remember Merck ended their licensing deal with Nanoco not so long ago. They now seem to be working Quantum Science Ltd.

I think this will go all the way through the legal process. At the end of the day, even if they lose badly in court, Samsung will no doubt claim they believed they were acting in good faith, but have to respect the legal process. Face saver. As for reputation damage, well tomorrows chip wrappers springs to mind. For the average consumer it won’t even register on their radar.

Little to comment on that hasn't already been chewed over again and again. Just got to wait for news now.

I think it's more anticipation of some substantial event, only for it to be kicked further down the road.

Be helpful if they just gave a date that is firm even if it's a few months away and stuck to it, else it's like the boy that cried wolf.

Personally I long ago dialled out of the majority of posts on here and advfn, as most of tit is just noise.

Next news will hopefully be an update on sensor contracts.

Nanoco are no patent troll, and that should go heavily in their favour when calculating damages on a win IMO.

Brian Tenner has stated more than once any agreed settlement would have to be global and for the life of the patented IP.

Nanoco tends to buck the market trend.

Possibly some large trades going on in the background, and the traders giving the tree a bit of a shake to see if anything falls out.

Not to mention there may be quite a few who have taken a more recent position expecting a pre-trial settlement and with it looking increasingly unlikely, may not wish to take a chance on a trial verdict.
