QElvis - Provident announced then culled an INTERIM divi which they seemingly can do....but the next divi from GOG is a final and that is much more difficult to cull. I see your interest in GNK. 1.2% drop in sales FFS and a 15% price drop. If the news had been a 1.2% sales increase, would the sp have gone up 15%...no chance!

QElvis - I beat you to it! I added GOG and topped up about 1/3rd on GNK. GOG is probably the riskier of the 2 bit the next GOG dividend is assured (it's a final too).

Arsenal17 - they really are living in planet cuckooland - They need to get their heads round the fact that they are not civil servants working for a state owned monopoly. The RMG exists not to deliver letters/parcels etc but to make money for the shareholders - period! Shareholders are not a charity. Just like British Leyland, let them go on strike - that'll do a lot of good won't it. I'll buy when the share price is "stupid price" (well below IPO) and then hold until RMG is bought out by the French or the Germans. Honestly!

The Share Price fell as a result of the fall out of the FTSE100. The share price fell because the share price was falling and it became apparent that RMG would fall into "division 2". IF a strike is announced - be of no doubt the share price will fall (my guess is 30%). Look at what happens to companies nowadays - any sign of bad news and the share price is crucified as "investors" (cough!) run for the door hitting the panic sell button. In fact, the market is so geared that the big investors sell on bad news and force the share price down and then rebuy at a lower price when the dust has settled. Indeed, may of the big investors will be salivating over the thought of a strike. Examples of over reactions: Greene King - sales down by 1.2% - share price down 16% in one day! AZN - one drug fails a trial - share price down by 16% in one day! PFC (Petrofac)- 50% fall in share price as a result of a SFO investigation (guilty until proven otherwise) PFG (Provident) - 80% fall in share price as the management coc ked up in the implemenation of a new collection system. So, IF a strike happens - I'm guessing that the sp will fall 30%.

Short levels on gog were negligible...the big boys didn't expect the drop.

Not to buy at this price. So, I did. Totally oversold. Look at what happened to Greene King today. They announced a sales drop of 1.2% and the market dropped them nearly 16%. The markets are being manipulated. Just buy when you feel something has been oversold and bank the Divi!

Over 18 weeks and the market reacts as though it's the end of the world....FFS. I bought some more today. The Divi is covered. 1.2% decrease and a 15% so fall.... nonsense guys and gals!

Yes, you may get a pay rise but there will be job cuts to pay for it.

I dumped all my shares in RMG when you fell out of the ftse100.

Just a point of clarification...who is it cheaper to get rid of, someone who has 38 years of service or someone with a few years. Hence, if job cuts come, they will start with the youngsters. At the end of the day, the management team are there to run a business and make a profit for the shareholders - be under no illusion it is for any altruistic reason. If the management team do not deliver ,( no pun intended) they will be getting the axe instead. It will become a game of egos with the management team on one side and the union on the other. The ones who will suffer are the ones that are cheapest to get rid of to balance the books and maintain profits.

Madasaballon.... with 38 years of service you're probably not too concerned about the future of RMG ( how's the final salary pension doing?). Indeed, you are most likely thinking "here's an opportunity for volunteering for redundancy with a payoff". Well, that ain't going to happen as the company can't afford to pay people off to take early retirement so don't labour under that misapprehension!

And if you don;t think the share price can go any lower - take a trip over to Carillion or Provident. Announce a strike/IA and the share price will plummet to 150p (or lower).

You posties do a good job but the business model is being attacked by too many cheaper competitors. The likes of Hermes/DHL will have your lunch. Go on strike if you want and just hand the work to your competitors and then in a few months you'll see RMG management response - they will start to make people redundant blaming the downturn in business and increasing competition and falling advertising revenue (delivery of advertisements) - it won't be their fault and they will continue to get their annual bonus. And as for being a successful company - you've just been demoted out of the FTSE100. Face facts - you have a 300 year old business model and their are more agile competitors. Soon you are likely to be looking for work with them and you'll find that their pension scheme ain;t as good as yours and the wages and hours are not as favourable - IF you can get a job as the Polish workers will still be here!.

I'm not so sure about DC. They are a "shop window" for the general public who look round the store, find something they like and then go and order it online via Amazon, AO or similar. Ask yourself, "does this stack up with what I do?" The older generation who buy at a shop are being replaced by Internet switched on people - typically 65 and below, This leaves very few shoppers who don't have t'internet. And back to BDEV - what's not to like? Dividend increase and an extra little bonus - both increased from last year. It's a Heineken share - (if only all shares.....)

The question for me would be ...if the sp does fall to a lower figure, would you buy? Any buy decision would be based on a big gamble that Indivior can overturn the court ruling. If a single product accounts for 80% of their sales (?) then it's a big gamble. I would wait a few days to see what happens before piling in if anyone is thinking of a punt. So as Dotlink suggests, if the sp fell to 140/180p would you invest in a company that seems to be so reliant mainly on a single product (then again, you could say the same about BATS or Imperial!)
