All the housebuilders are 'down' today....the question is...who will the Gov ask to build it's houses if it excludes ALL the housebuilders? Someone has got to build houses.

"Aviva has approached Old Mutual's former finance head Ingrid Johnson in its hunt for a new chief executive, as pressure rises on the insurer to secure new leadership.

City sources said the Aviva board identified Ms Johnson as the top external candidate at a board meeting last month. She resigned from Old Mutual in November following a restructure of the fund manager.

It was not clear this weekend whether an offer has been made to Ms Johnson. Aviva declined to comment and Ms Johnson could not be reached."

Jamesmaggs...its a tricky one. I bought into both IMB and BATS but I think I'll just hold on to them to milk the divi. Neither are going out of business in my lifetime! Both generate ooodles of free cash flow . I reckon you might regret it if you flogged them for a one off profit, especially IMB which has been increasing dividends very nicely.

I also hold PHNX ( zombie life insurer)...I reckon they will also be a steady increasing dividend machine and I will be topping up my holdings soon.

Divi costs about 460m GBP. Net Debt is 2656m GBP. I reckon that they will cut both the divi by 50% and pension payments by 25% to pay down debt by 230m +50m per yr.

There's quite a delay between XD and Pay...138 days! (is this a record breaker for time between XD and pay?).

I note also that it is a final dividend which is provides a little more 'security' in terms of it actually being paid than an interim.

I dont have 50% invested in a single company....that would be crazy. I said that the share price (sp) has fallen by 50%.
The lawyers are urinating in the wind, they have close to zero chance of demonstrating that their clients made losses as a result of any misdemeanour at PFC for the timescales in question.

This is at the levels when the SFO first announced their investigation , approx 50% fall in sp. So, PFC have made no progress regarding proving they can still win contracts and no progress in reducing debt levels? This is a complete nonsense price.
