Starmer and Reeves do not come into Labour's definition of Real Working people.

After long deliberation on what constituted a Real Working Person, they came up with " a person who works but does not have enough money to sign a cheque". I think we can agree both can sign very large cheques.

I do not personally care if they rent out their homes, I am a landlord myself and make a good living out of property /land.

We will say nothing on the hypocrisy of Rayner and her conversion of the evils of the sale/purchase of council houses after she and her then husbands purchasing two of them.

I have said many times those that bought their council homes were mainly Labour voters, every family in the land will have family members who bought their council homes on the cheap.

And as I pointed out earlier the Labour party has a long history of connections to Soviet Russia and you pick out some left wing conspiracy theories about Farage and Putin.

And whilst on Russia, the Democrats spent millions of Americans tax payers dollars trying to connect Trump to Russia for their own ends not the American peoples welfare.

It was always implied that Harold Wilson had been recruited by Russians whilst at university.

Infact it is interesting how Wilson became Labour leader after the sudden death of Hugh Gaitskell on his return from a trip to Russia. If you wish to look for Russian connections, read up on the Labour party and the Trade unions and their close ties with Soviet Russia.

Imagine having a leader who put their country first, I suppose we can only dream.

Well they must need the money now that they live for free of the tax payer.

Starmer and Reeves are now BOTH renting out their homes for thousands of pounds per month.

Reeves is renting out two. Reeves will make over 250k at least over a five year period, whilst in office a sum Real Workers dream about! How much two faced Starmer will grasp rake in, I do not know but his home is valued in the millions.

We now have political prisoners in our country, a man praying silently in the street is convicted of a crime !

We have a PM who made his money via legal aid defending real criminals so they could walk free.

We have politicians who are citing the ECHR as some reason why foreign criminals cannot be deported which is a lie.

We release hardened criminals to make room for so called thugs, but Muslim thugs appear to walk free, videos on line, of a police officer in the midlands telling muslims to hide their weapons in a mosque!. And as we shall see the law will take its time in dealing with a real thug a Labour MP who could have caused a death !

For a person who asked the question, concerning the meaning of democracy you seem pretty ineffectual in answering it yourself.

The house of lords is not a democratic chamber ,so why the long wined silly explanation of its make up and dates, nothing to do with the fact that not one person is elected in that chamber. And you bring in the King a king who does as he is told.

And can a real democracy have an hereditary figurehead. The monarch is a democratic as the house of lords.

The reason the H of L is simply a home for defunct MPs who can get a peerage just to allow some others to take their nice safe seat. A PM wants to get rid of an MP, to put in his/her place a stooge then there are plenty of folk who would love to feel the ermine on the back of their neck and of course the remuneration . And the other side of the coin, the titles as our very own Stamer is a recipient and loves to be addressed as such. Titles place the person with the title above the mob, not very democratic and a left over from the Norman conquest.

There is no reason why the second chamber cannot be elected, strange how so many other democracies manage it.

My post was in response to one of your posts, in which you ask someone if they know the meaning of the word democracy.

Clearly to asked a question you yourself cannot give an answer too. Asking a question you can't answer yourself is what?

We know about the caveats put in place by the Tories with regard to the referendum. I also remember well two MPs prior to the referendum saying this, what ever the outcome we will abide by the vote ! The two in question were Diane Abbot and Paddy Ashdown, of course they like the rest of the establishment thought that the vote would go their way, so they wanted to sound Democratic. Within 30mins of the result being confirmed how, their idea of democracy changed, in the bat of an eye lid. I do remember MPs many of them Labour, being rather insulting to those that voted the wrong way, it appears voters are only educated when they vote the way intended.

On the subject of the unelected chamber, which Blair said was undemocratic prior to winning power in 1997 and after winning power made it even more un-democratic .

And the interference of the judiciary in the aftermath of the referendum was a disgrace, in some countries it could have resulted in riots!

No reply on whether ancient Greece could be held up as a democracy in today's world! how things and ideas change.

Nor any comment on the plebiscites held in Switzerland on major political issues, a lot more democratic than most systems.

How many would say that the American system is democratic?

On PR even that is not democratic a democratic system where parties with less votes can stop the party with most votes from gaining office and forming a government.

I would guess that you love obeying the establishment, you know your place in society it appears !

Whom, does not what the word means?

Do we have it, I think not.

Is it first past the post, where you can win power with a minority share of the vote?

Where certain unelected people can interfere and apply constraints to laws passed by the elected house.

Does democracy mean a free and fair referendum open to all of those entitled to vote, but can be undermined by the very politicians who offered the referendum, because they decided that they did not like the outcome.

Democracry, allows the election of people who create two sets of Rules, one for themselves and one for others. A democracy where the law makers make it illegal to lie in a court of law, but the law makers can lie anywhere and on any subject to assist in their election to power and to keep their power.

Interestingly in ancient Greece not all men could vote, women could not vote and they held slaves .

Would ancient Greece be held up as a democracy today?

Do we live in a democracy?

Is Switzerland the only democracy in Europe?

Get that wall completed .

Let us declare that the illegals coming here are a threat to national security, after all Starmer said they were the other day.

Nothing in the ECHR says a country must put its people in danger, that is a FACT the "C" in ECHR stands for Convention ! it is not a law or a treaty . That is how other signatories pick and choose the bits that suit them.
