Do you know why so many homes get flooded around the world now, because they have been built where there were none before . Population growth determines who and where it gets flooded. As population growth also determines water shortages in some areas. Why don't the experts do some modelling on population growth patterns and its effects on flooding in certain areas and draught and famine in certain areas.
