Im going to rise onto my legs now and try to calm down. Three weeks or so ago my pension pot was 40% down. Took a bit of a gamble, sold most of the blue chips but today I have just recovered the lot courtesy of GGP...hurrah!! Now where's my walking boots!!

I do not believe GH will sell a cent of Havieron or GGP to Newcrest beyond the 75% total. Unlike many of us, who are solely motivated by the potential monetary gains attached to this business, GH and his management team have a genuine interest in this project from an industry perspective. You can see it written all over their faces during interviews.

I'm convinced they will want to see this through the whole way because it is just so damn exciting as well as potentially bringing a huge eventual profit!

I believe that the fair price is acertained by a 'disinterested' party. I cannot remember how I know that but iirc both newcrest and ggp must pay for the service and I think this is what has led to speculation that Newcrest will offer to buy Havieron from GGP to speed up the production process. Essentially GGP could take ages to raise the funds and that wouldn't sit well with Newcrest.

I've made it known that i have a million shares. Yesterday I sold 200k quite early on in my pension with the intention of selling the same value of housebuilder shares (TW and BDEV) in my isa. I would then immediately purchase GGP shares in my isa and restore my lovely equilibrium as well as having more GGP shares in the ISA, ahead of the sp surge we are all hoping for. The spare cash could then be withdrawn from my pension at my leisure to fund my lavish lifestyle (12k :)

No sooner had the first part been completed when there was a knock on the motorhome door:

"In the name of God get some cushions, blankets and anything that will absorb hailstones" pleaded the site owner. "It's a yellow warning of large hailstones big enough to shatter windscreens!!!"

You can see where Im going with this can't you?

I came back from this urgent matter to find the GGP share well up and TW well on the way to becoming the worst performing share in the ftse 100.

The hailstones never arrived but I think I may have damaged the bodywork anyway by slamming my fist into it shouting "Why! Why! Why!!!"

Anyway, the moral of this story is never sell anything...ever.....particularly GGP

I think you answered it yourself Maximus. I remember once that we had a roof collapse at our business premises and i prevented us from operating for three months. The insurance company wanted to see the previous year's books to calculate what our average trade was for the period.

I think the pog would be ironed out to an average over a certain period of time to ensure neither party would be unfairly penalised by a dip or peak.

That's if there is a deal of course. I'm still not convinced about that. Think about the psychology: You have found what could be the largest gold deposit in recent history. This would be tremendous kudos to ggp. Would they want to flog their share virtue of the mining resource edtimate and that would be that? I wouldn't but that's probably why I'm not rich haha.

Hope you're right Mickey. I thought I would start writing a book while in lockdown. Instead, I keep staring at my phone and drawing mental pictures of me rolling around in gold. Like that scene in The Hobbit!

Some really interesting replies guys. Thank you for your input. I think my own strategy would be to get sufficient for my later years and that does not need to be £1 a share. 25p would generate 250k. 50p, half a million. I reckon I would be over the moon at 25p and that could possibly reflect the Havieron value or buy out. I think it would depend on how long scally would take to come on board before I make up my mind on the closing point.

I have seen a little quinta down here in Portugal. Its just outside the land we are currently locked down in. I reckon £150k would pay for demolition, rebuild, bore hole, solar panels and fencing. Couple of dogs, chickens, some fruit trees.

25p share price is all I need.......:)

I am interested to hear from anyone who has had the experience I hope I will be having: Unlike a number of investors on here, I do not have gazillions to trade with. My (heavy for me) investment of £35k is now worth £52k. Very nice but if this becomes the megatron that it looks like it could be I see a new and weird problem. The problem that people have on 'Who wants to be a Millionaire': They reach 500k and have one question left to win a million or drop back to £32k. These amounts are life-changing amounts for the chosen contestants. Some dip out, some don't.

You catch my drift? Has anyone on here experienced this? How did you manage the 'stick or bust' concerns in your head? Di you beat your demons or take a deep breath and carry on?

My mum is in a care home for dementia patients. Most, including her, are elderly. My dad has had a stroke and also has some breathing problems.

If either of them contracts this virus they are almost undoubtedly finished. I can do nothing about it because I am abroad and in lockdown myself, not that that feeling of helplessness would be any lessened by being in the UK.

What odd times we live in. What has this to do with GGP? Not a lot but watching the price leap about on webull and reading the thoughts on here is a welcome distraction, as well as encouraging me to learn more about the industry, company, physchology of the investors and even the odd conspiracy theory!

I don't believe anyone could be so callous as to deliberately manufacture a virus designed to take out certain sections of the community (In this case, older people regardless of their social status). Cue ValleyComando to put me right....

Surprised you sold Steve but if that's your strategy, so be it. I think every board on here has people posting who are highly impressed wih their own decision to invest though. A bit unfair to tar just this one with that brush, particularly as the sp continues to climb on the strength of good reports and sensible conjecture.

I would never invest in any share called ARS. How could you even talk about it? "My ARS share has gone up" . "My ARS is down today." No...I don't think so.

I guess it could be paid in instalments Matty. It might even get connected to the actual production from the site or sites.

However, 60p seems too high to me.

I have been trying to understand a little better the accuracy of feasability studies. It's quite difficult to find modern examples of accuracy on google, other than the fact industry has tightened up considerably since a few scandals years ago.

My understanding is that following the MRE, itself subject to a 30% margin of error, the feasibility study (needed for the 5% valuation) has a 15% moe.

Please correct this guess if you have more experience in mining shares but it would appear that once the MRE is released we should know where we are for Havieron. E.g between 20 and 32 ml oz (The last bit is just a tickler).
