Yes it is my friend. However, I cannot claim to have a lengthy experience in share dealng. I left my pension with a completely inept pension company for years. It was only when I'd finally had enough of their incompetence that I cashed out, put it with AJBell and thought...hmph I can do better myself.

Yeah right. Hopeless investment in oilers followed by useless blue chips led to my desperate search leading me to here.

Let's not forget he offered a scenario of 5m oz where the share price might tank through a disappointment factor.

My analogy is you have a bag of six GGP balls in a black bag marked 2p, 5p, 10p, 15p, 20p and 25p. Would you put up 100k at 8p to pick out one of these balls? (No second referendum, people's vote here. Just one dip into the bag).

Had a telephone conversation with a pal in the UK tonight and could hardly contain my excitement over this share. "Be careful! Don't put in more than you can afford to lose!", he urged me.

All very well but if I hadn't put in more than I could afford to lose I wouldn't have clawed back the horrendous losses made by investing in 'nice safe' blue chip shares!

This share would have to drop 50% before I would need to panic. Just can"t see it happening. I remain invested and will stay until the mre.

Well we will see. If I could draw an analogy it would be like you offering me a 1973 convertible Mercedes in mint condition fo £10k and me then going off to do some research which showed that it was the only one left in the world and much more valuable so could you please sell it to me for £100k?

Nah I'd be kicking the tyres and drawing in a sharp intake of breath while shaking my head.

I still believe that Newcrest have no intention of buying out Havieron. My reasoning is the extended drilling pattern which is beyond the field originally discovered by GGP.

Why would you go out of your way to define a bigger area when it would mean you would end up paying more for the mine? Surely the time to do that would be after the purchase agreement had been agreed.

I just think they want to get cracking on it and into the higher assay areas first.

A Waitrose shopper already but when we return to Blighty some time before the end of May, I expect to shun the knock down section where we used to buy at least two items to qualify for our two free coffees.

Oh no siree, we will be dining in the restaurant with proper crockery and not sneaking mouthfuls of pork pie from inside a paper bag, skulking in a corner where all the poor people go.

The penny-pinching days will be over man.

Newcrest finished 3.9% up on the last spin of the roulette wheel. Not bad!

And Portugal is as Portugal should be today...warm and sunny. We are in the Alentejo district near Elvas, riding out the virus storm on a piece of land kindly offered by a couple who have had to close their official campsite down.

It is most bizarre. Today I cleared an area for a walking football pitch and marked it out with a hoe. I'm the only one who plays normally so the women around here have had it once I've chopped the grass down, knocked the mole hills to the ground, removed the thistles and created the mother of all playing fields.

Anyway, it doesn't half make me feel poor when I read that someone has got gazillions of shares. Whatever, I'm still thrilled to be in this and it makes the waiting for lockdown restrictions to lift a little more palatable. :)

- Havieron 6 weekly interim drilling update, wk 2 - include S/SW 450-900m step outs
- Environmental, geotechnical and metallurgical studies completed, possible innitial Maden Resource Estimate! wk 4 - expecting 7-10m oz

July - Sept...
- Newcrest quarterly drilling update at Havieron, possible MRE upgrade 10-12m oz ~(Aug)
- Possible - Rigs increased to 10-12
- Havieron 6 weekly interim drilling update (Sept)

Haha...mfu, not far off actually. I am in a field surrounded by fencing and occasionally walk to the gate to see what the outside world looks like. Every so often, making sure no-one is looking of course, I put my foot through the bars of the gate into the 'forbidden zone'.

I'm sure when this lockdown is over I will be like Stev Mcqueen in Papillon...unable to grasp when released from isolation he can take one extra step.

Anyway, least I will be mega wealthy!!

Valuefinder...that's why I added kid to the end of my name. Just a big one really :) I like hearing what other people have done. It's a bit like swapping bubble-gum cards.

My average is 3.8p Sean. Started at 1.8p and bought chunks up to yesterday's 7.32 paid. I can understand your reluctance but my theory is what might those last £5k amount of shares be worth in a week? £10k? I went for it. :)

I am not virtually 'all in'. I have a few k in a couple of other shares but the value of the rest of the portfolio had gone down so far, I thought to hell with it and bought a few more yesterday.

I base this investment in GGP on a number of factors: reports, interviews, knowledgeable posters and trusting my own instinct.

GGP has already taken a modest portfolio, containing the usual blue chips and diminished by 40% in three weeks, to one that is 10% up. I could re-invest in ftse 100 shares but where the heck is the fun in that!!!?

I'd rather buy on the known drilling results to date and on the rumour that this is going to be a huge find. Just a few more trading days to find out!

Why? I have a small investment here but haven't seen any news to support today's 20% increase, nice as it is!

In the film 'Alien', the director chose to retain tension by showing only flashes of the monster as the screenplay progressed. This made it more frightening. We could only speculate about the size and full extent of its tendrils. It was so upsetting for some audience members that they literally jumped out of their seats and ran out of the cinemas!

Had they stayed to the end they would have seen not only the monster in full but also a cinematic masterpiece that has become a cult classic.

Can you imagine how those escapees now feel, who bought their tickets and then wasted their money by running out before the end of the performance?

Trucky- yes but that 'sale' could be in the form of a full payment over many years as opposed to a smaller one-off payment now.

I suppose it depends on how a lump sum could be utilised for the exploration programme.

Anyway, maybe we will find out soon!
