Anyway, although I don't say this normally, I don't think very highly of anyone who uses a bulletin board like a 'thief', broadcasting support for the cause while selling. They remind me of the hotel owner in 'The Good the Bad and the Ugly' who cheers 'Hooray! Hooray for Dixie!!' when he thinks he will make more money by supporting the South as they march into town, having earlier been a staunch supporter of the Union.

But THIS time I DO have the winning numbers: 1.4 million of them. What I DON'T know is how big the win is because the machine keeps going wrong and might take two years to fix before the right reward is announced. I think it could be as much as million quid or more. :)

Well, maybe we will get a nice update on the Scally work tomorrow, since GH likes TuesdayRNSs and we can put this behind us. I'm happier that it was just one shareholder who sold up since that is easier to take frankly.

I put some spending money in here at 13.2. So now I have 15,000 more shares but no spending money. Hmm there must be some more old gold-capped teeth hidden around here somewhere....

Hi Speedy, That's kind of what I said several months ago and was advised that SB would NEVER do such a thing! It would not be professional. Yeah right! I think hydrogen mentioned yesterday that SB had to find a good balance between bigging up Telfer and acknowledging the role Havieron will have for future production but without glorifying it too much (and therefore having to pay more for it?)

Regarding a certain 'quietening' of the board I believe it is down to the fact that we have discussed all 5732 permutations for what will happen to GGP over the next three years. Don't worry. It will be round of repeats soon haha!

The telling moment for me was when SB remarked that Telfer will be helped by Havieron to re-attain Tier 1 level. That was a distinctive 'status' signal of a different kind. I.e Telfer first Havieron second.

Could be that the downplay was a prelude to a forthcoming buyout offer or maybe SB was a bit 'there's more to our business than Havieron, doncha know'.

I'm not so convinced about a big rise tomorrow. The trades today were around half the normal amount, so it doesn't look like the market is as excited about the NCM announcement as we are on here.

Furthermore, I imagine a lot of investors are wary about buying on news having seen the traders cream off the rise before the end of the news day and on several recent occasions.

I'd rather see a steady price rise tomorrow lifting the sp into the high 14s and staying there. However, what I would like to see and what actually happens could be entirely different things!

So picture our get-together at the curry house last weekend. It was like the opening scene of 'Broadway Danny Rose' (an excellent Woody Allen spoof on the 'glamour' of show business). We are all ex-salesmen for the same company and were telling tales about our various experiences in the job.

In I go ,eventually, with the sense and virtue of buying GGP shares. Now understand it is no mean feat to sell to salesmen but it worked; all four have put in funds ranging from 13.0 to 13.7p. One thought I was on commission and did a double-take when I said I wasn't, it was because I they are my mates and I wanted them to make some cash. He couldn't believe his ears!

I sincerely hope I will mount up the kudos points between now and our get together a year from now. I might even get an extra 'Kingfisher' lager out of it. Tasty!

However, presumably some of the structure and equipment there is nearly fifty years old. we have always assumed on here that it would be fully functioning and efficient for the material coming in from Havieron. Like as not, a good deal of this structure has a shelf life and would need replacing/updating.

Now, if that is the case, it might be logical to re-build some of it at Havieron. I'm guessing because I am not a mining engineer!

I tell you what. It would not be a bad problem to have when the equipment needed for the third biggest gold mine in Australia, albeit in decline, would be insufficient to meet the demands of Havieron.

It's truly amazing that it is even being discussed!

Anyway, last night I had a nice curry evening out with some old work colleagues and held their attention captive as I described GGP, my own investment story and what I believed they could still gain as investors. I think at least one or two will have a bash with £1k, We are not talking big money here but I would like them to make a good profit within the year.

You cannot help but enthuse about this share. Gold going through the roof, Copper in demand, Cobalt sitting there begging to be dug up, a Swiss cheese of drilling into what could be a monster find soon to be announced on the MRE and the icing on the cake, the re-assurance you may still need Quitefrankly; nearly everyone is spelling Havieron correctly on the board. Proof of future success if ever it was needed.
