Isn't there a danger that NCM buying out all of Havieron could result in them focusing their efforts entirely on that prize and afford them less time , equipment, cash and inclination to bid for Scallywag, should GGP to be looking for a mining company with whom to joint venture on that project?

Know what you mean Dave. My own holding is much smaller. The sp will need to go significantly higher for my pot to reach those giddy heights. My analogy is a bit like the lottery: Just because someone got all six numbers correct , it doesn't stop me from enjoying my five correct and the bonus ball.

I've taken my mind off things by replacing rcd switches in the shed. Frightening stuff electricity. But what is giving off lots of static is our share! Tig, Our intention is to make Portugal our new home, while still within the EU and thus enjoying residential rights afforded to EU citizens before the cut off date of 31st December.

Ok, so I have had a nice chat with the owner of the JRool Bistro restaurant this afternoon, here in Stroud.

He has some stuff going on during the week but is very happy for us to hold our social gathering on Saturday 19th September in his wine bar. It has its own loo and would be reserved just for us. This would be from 7 pm on. There is a maximum of 20 permitted to meet social distancing regs.

So please let me know on here if this looks good for you and I will add your name to the list on a first come, first served basis. For anyone travelling to the area, Stroud has a great market on a Saturday and a canal, so is a good day to visit the town anyway.

Lady Mush and I will be there, of course, and will probably get plastered with it being our last Saturday before we head off. Do join us if you can!

I seem to recall that, twenty odd years ago, Gordon Brown introduced a few 'stealth tax' ways of collecting our hard earned cash. Even if an isa is not taxed by the government, we can rest assured that the monies needed to redress the damage caused by lockdown will be raised somehow. E.g if you have so much in savings you will lose free NHS treatment or pay more on community tax if you have more windows (just like the good olde days), or more road tax on your bigger-engined car. There are 101 ways this money can be collected other than isas or pensions.

Being a bit of an organiser type myself and also noticing there are a few investors around the Stroud area, I would normally offer to get one going around this part of the world. (Bristol, Cardiff, Worcester, Swindon all less than one hour away) but we are in the throws of moving of course.

I'm also friendly with the JRool bar/cafe/restaurant owner in Stroud who, despite being a bit like a ****ney Basil Fawlty, would be a fun host and has just opened a covered patio area with a heating unit he would set aside for us for an evening I'm sure. It seats around twenty and he would open up , mid-week for us if I asked him nIcely,

Agree with that lseo. I've also devided that when the time comes for me to realise my GGP share asset, the money will be placed in the most boring investments in the history of investments: Something like premium bonds or in several of those gigantic 0.5% interest high st. deposit accounts.

I.e It will be a time when all risk-taking exertions will have stopped in favour of growing tomatoes.
