I can safely say that my errr second-to-none investment skills come from the information gleaned from this board. Let's face it, this contains a complete tome of brainboxes working in unison. Sometimes it remind me of those science fiction films where a disk is found containing the complete knowledge of humankind. You plug yourself in to the board and ten minutes later you know everything there is to know from pond-liners to ocean-liners.

Fortuitous because as is typical of many older Portuguese houses, the vendor had failed to register a house extension done years ago. Upshot of this is a delay while it gets sorted. Good. I can't think of a worse time to make a decision on a share sale, even a small amount for the deposit. I can now sit back and enjoy the rest of the week and the run up to the Scally results and Havieron MRE.

I must say zoros, we got off to a bit of bad start but that was a cracking post and very informative. Therefore, I apologise!

I have a close friend with whom I have shared a number of schemes in the past. For some reason, I failed to tell him about this share when I went all in earlier this year. Maybe it was my personal circumstances or mindset at the time. He would have bought in at around 4p because he trusts my judgement. I have since involved him, he has bought in with a hefty amount and is in profit. Just wish I had mentioned it much sooner. Better late than never I guess and since I genuinely believe we are still at the start of a fantastic journey, he will no doubt benefit even more.

Leave Enrico alone! If he wants to drink champagne for 24 hours before the results, fair play to him.

Lazypunter. I have just come back from a lovely and ridiculous 'over the top' Sunday lunch with again ridiculous quantities of vinho tinto to accompany. I have just read out your post to Lady Mush and we feel quite overwhelmed. What an warm-hearted thing to write. I am no expert in this share but I have gone from having nothing spare in March, to speak of, to having this wonderful opportunity to live in this friendly and welcoming country. France is equally beautiful and has it's own unique flavour.

When we complete on the house purchase. When we open the front door with our own key I am sure I will burst into tears.

Thank you for your thoughts. You may well be right and ordinarily I would endorse the logic but for two reasons this must be done:
1) The property is in Portugal. It has over three acres of land, crying out for the fishing pond I have always wanted and more fruit and olive trees than you have ever seen. It's quiet and lovely. If the value goes down so be it because for me it is priceless.

2) It's already as cheap as chips. :)

Releasing my grip on the shares will be hard...but it will happen.

I'll need to sell around 1/3 or my shares then. Tell you what..I feel like a dog with a bone with these shares. I hate the thought of selling but at least the rest can sit forever.

Last year the AGM was on 3rd December. I'm not sure if it has to be within a set period of time plus or minus the previous year but 3rd December 2020 would seem much to early if the MRE is going to be announced in the same month.

I'm doing some calcs on liquidising a portion of my holding to facilitate a house purchase. NCM has indicated a December announcement for this crucial pivotal point. I'm trying to guess when the latest date would be for that announcement. Surely it wouldn't be anywhere between Christmas and the New Year when markets are limited. Neither would it be likely to be later than 20th December when the silly season starts? Undoubtedly, the CEO's will get interviewed afterwards so I am guessing mid December latest. Thoughts?

Well done Dimvestor. I'm going to be in a similar situation soon and I'm holding on as long as I can before paying the deposit!
The rest will need to be paid year end from share sales, I'm guessing, so no takeover before then please or the deposit is lost and will disappear faster than a kid's pocket money in a sweet shop.

I read that Goldworm post three times since it was 4.30 am at the time and my mushy brain couldn't take it in at first. It's all good basically. Arsenopyrites indicate gold deposits and that's what we want to hear. :)

This must be the only place where someone can quote, 'don't dismiss the arsenic' without batting an eyelid.

Ref the share price. I can only base it on what is in the pipeline. We have several key announcements coming up, not the least of which are the Scally results and the MRE on Havieron. Whilst I see Scally as being possibly quite a moderate resource, so long as it is attractive to mine, it should draw the attention of NCM for another joint venture. The MRE for Havieron is truly fascinating: A conservative 5 million plus ozs for the initial MRE would be great and we should hit the un-risked sp level inferred by Hannam. I think 40p by end of year is achievable. I give it an 80% possibility. I think the reverse, a dip down from the 23p, level as being far more unlikely. Maybe a 20% possibility. So, since I got this far by sticking my neck out...I'll chance it!!!

Hi Yellowstuff! Well, I'd love to say we are sunning it up in contrast but the weather is very stormy. Storm Barbara has reached landfall! I trust you have resolved your isa type stuff but I might make a suggestion: This share is going to reach the sky. You really must invest much more before the MRE in December. Just think how terrible you would feel if you didn't. You'd never be able to live with yourself!
