Interesting to see the CEO BioNTEch comment (on Marr) that they haven’t looked at whether those vaccinated could continue to shed the virus (and so still be infectious). He guessed that the vaccine would have some effect, but suggested it might stop 50% being infectious.

What is really interesting is the other potential benefits MS can bring, not least the potential for it to be a prognostic as well as a diagnostic tool. To be able to tell how badly affected someone might by the disease , and therefore inform triage and treatment decisions, seems to me to be a massive benefit should the NHS (and other global health) become overwhelmed with cases.

In the last presentation AS repeatedly commented that BAMS has received good levels of commercial interest despite not being validated yet, and I am really starting to understand why. Hopefully the validation data will become known “soon”.

Perhaps they won’t be making as much of the antibody test, leaving more capacity for other LFT, like us.

A bit weird that the media haven’t picked up that this is made in China. Would put a different slant on the story for many I think..
