It’s also worth noting though that actually getting a bio marker to work in a commercially viable LFT is beyond most test developers, which is where our offerings come in to play. Folium, and for that matter Loop, Upfront etc are just not in that game. So, for Folium to have launched their new test says to me that they’ve had professional CDMO help, and ABDX socials activity leads me to think that (as with other products we now know we’re involved with), we provided it.

Back in July we had a TR1 from Barclays showing they'd increased their holding, which in the same RNS Vast said "indicates an increased shareholding from an existing Institutional Shareholder".

So it would see to make sense to me that if Barclays are reducing, then it would "indicate a decreased shareholding from an existing institutional shareholder"

The question, and concern, is why a party that increased at about 0.37 in July might now be selling down at these prices.

Bill - no formal confirmations at all from the company to say we are working with Folium, no. For various reasons though, I would not be at all surprised and would indeed put it at above 90% chance.

But that really is just my opinion based on nothing more than social media activity, a link to a recent ABDX blog on Molecular testing, and the fact that historically we on here have been able to identify companies ABDX areworking from using just social media and blog activity before anything formal has been announced - Vatic, Senzo, Saligostics, Loop and Upfront are all examples.

One particular point I noted about this test, is that its quantitative and not just qualitative.

So it can tell you if the chickens have got Salmonella, but then also tell you how badly they've got it. That seems to me to be a pretty significant step forward in LFT outputs.

Notice the only comment (so far) to the linkedin post I provided below was made by Chris Yates - "Fantastic Innovation".

Folium presented their new salmonella LFT for chickens yesterday. We have had no confirmation from ABDX that we are involved, but the number of reactions from ABDX staff to recent Folium posts would IMO suggest we are.

To that end, Folium posted this today, along with a video describing the product, its utility, and the market size. £300m just for the Sal test, but £7bn for tests covering wider ranges of pathogens.

Whatever, again sells appear to outweigh buys but prices have increased.

This trading activity is very strange, especially for this share. We can all try and guess as to what might be happening, but we can be certain at least, I think, that something is going on behind the scenes and it looks positive given it’s gently pushing the price up.

Hi Ant - as per Bill, everything at 10.08 yesterday was a buy. Everything at 9.93 was a sell. I’m really not sure about the early trades at 9.94 because I was getting quoted 9.93 to sell and 9.94 to buy at the time.

It does seem to be the case that there were more sells than buys yesterday, yet both the bid and ask quotes I’m getting have risen a little. That might suggest a buy is being worked through behind the scenes

But I’m absolutely no expert in this!

I’m a little confused - how does this payment arrangement tally with the fact that, as of now, the totality of the debt is due for repayment at the end of the month? Sorry if this sounds ignorant.

Could be - but based on our Sales and Distribution teams latest Linkedin activity, I'll stick with ASDA. Probably wrong but no harm in speculating on a quiet day!
