Just had a quick log in as, yet again attended the annual "expensive lunch in a bag do" lol
Up at 5am, car, train, tube and a free picnic in a bag, though I did get spotted by Jez and mangaged to have a chat this time.
He was very up beat once, Jon on the other hand defended the verbal bashing once again.
Really nice to see Mr Mason-Mahon there again, he says it how it is. Such a nice, intelligent person.
3/4's through, the wanna be cast of the (Young Ones) burst on stage, crying about daddies allowance and mummy wasn't breast feeding them anymore. Sadly their behaviour over shadowed the real reason they tried to put across.
Soon got exited though, even a share holder got hold of one and dragged them out !
T'D'Bro's post I just read, is not too far off the mark.
Reflecting on some of my previous posts, the share price did find the 204 / 207 area very sticky indeed.
217 was in still is an obsticle before any kind of move up in the 230's.
Big money is still long oil, they are also wanting more out of the FTSE100.
Barc's SP is fending off the weak pound well, struggling a bit, but holding off.
So I personally wouldn't be running to the hills just yet.
As long as we hold this area, this is becoming to look like a sound investment at last "After a decade of pain"
It wouldn't take much of a word from a few key players in the city to rally this above 240 again, only to be shorted back down again just as fast.
My charts were still very bullish up to Q1 results, whats niggling people at the moment is having an activist investor in the camp, funds do not like un certainty. Just because they have a stake in Barclays doesn't mean it is good for us private investors.
Least I left the AGM happy that we were not being prepared for a bigger banks evening meal.
Im still long Barclays and did address the question of European debt reflecting on the card side of the business in the imminent future, along with our sp still being priced below company value.
Key thing to watch is when the bears start to claim solid ground with the ftse, dow and oil !
Not just yet though, take warning it is due and like gravity, these markets will detach and fall, just not yet though.
Hope life is treating everyone else well.
