It's a shame they closed the old platform. Dumb Investor is an absolute croc of 541t. Still have my one open, though transferred other bits and fold elsewhere. It was one problem after another. Actually Jack, TTT made some good calls, as did Chan76. Both in from 50p to £3 area. Was it not you predicting 50p again when I got caught with a lump @ just £2 a couple of years back. Can't win them all lol. Was it not me who actually agreed with you a few times on shorts ? Despite holding a decent amount in actual shares. Do I not post when I also hedge with a short position myself. Which I do very well out of. Don't see ya point fella, Barcs has it's up an downs. Like any other share. No Barcs are far from my favourite share, yes I do have a fare amount invested here and have a TP of £3 and I'm retired. Don't have any short position here at the moment myself. Just long term real shares and quite happy.

Fairplay to Stagecoach on that one.
Its just that you have only 17 posts against your name, previous ones read knowledgable too.
Which would lead to questioning why you did not just google such questions.

Some post on here using multi id's, which in the long run, just destroys the board and others find different sites.

Personally I think you have nothing to worry about with your holdings.
My gut feeling without any tech analysis or charts is that we will hopefully see some attempt of a few percent with the H'Y results. Followed up with a slight pull back, then a the usual build up for the divi.
Despite everything else, if the investment bank does not out perform, there will be serious issues raised.

We have China messing around with their currency, Flump wants to weaken the usd.
Oil is also an issue if he upsets Iran again, the 2015 strategy will fly out the window, saudi will flood the market to make their money, Iran will throw all the toys out the pram, Flump will chuck his dummy and so on.
All these are key factors in Barclays SP with the GBP at its struggling 130's.
Plus this poxy Brexit crap spread all over too !
Now we have the ppI 2019 being discussed for extension due to that Manchunian judge a few weeks back.

If you have decent charting ability, anyone on their day charts could clearly see a possible H&S coming into play.
Still could if we see a curve to 200 and then the drop off.
Try paying attention and you may learn something, its no good watching the tickers and 1 sec charts, as its a bit different from fx on Barclays lol.
Bit slower than the rest, if you get my drift.

If you are critical of me sharing my advice of where I see 185 being a holding area, one is not coming across too smart either. You make a point of me being to points away ! even hedge fund managers would be proud of that call.
You really need to spend time looking back at my serious posts, not banter ones, compare with that date data.
Without trying to claim attention, unlike you constanlty appear to do on here, my trades have mostly been bang on.
Apart from the ones that have taken a week or so to fall in place, my account is up nicely.
In fact its up year on year now, performing much better than if Ed Bramson invested it in Sherbourne for me !

Whilst stating a point, despite replying atm this is costing me pips . . . I have kept this name on here since day dot, unlike you, who has to keep changing every earnings season lol.

Could very well do so, it depends on how the bigger funds look at these yield curves.
Positive factors are that Barclays investment Bank may produce some decent figures in their H'Y report, counter acting the bad consumer confidence, possible rate hike ect ect;
With past history until this bank actually starts to prove its got what it takes to put on a great display, it very much looks like we could still be watching one of those cheap rockets . . . that we all watch of off with a great wiz, only to go poof !
Who knows Belar, my money is on taking a chance on this dropping slightly lower.
Unless Trump throws his soiled nappy in the fan, we should not see to much drama here.

Just like to clarify I did not take up either a day trade or add more to my account.
The reason being is that global bond investors have done the same as the U.S and driving yields curves flatter, compounding the signs of this escalating trade war.
The feds started the ball rolling, whilst now the it has caused other central banks to tighten lending.
In layman terms it is causing short term rates to rise faster than longer maturities.
So globally it is usually the key signal to recessionary signals when the curves flatten.

Though I will post if and when I grab a few more, so as not to upset a certain critic on here lol.

Good observation and something I have never looked at myself, they do say we learn a new thing each day lol.
Barclaycard does push a lot of income into the share price, though the bod @ Barclays were happy t announce that we are out performing other banks.
Something I would like explaining to me in layman terms, as why we are seeing sub 2's again.
They blamed the 8% government loading, the capital holding for the ring fencing, how much more do they need to store before going and holding above 2 for heavens sake !

This site has a bit of nostalgia to it, some still keep in touch via personal emails and group texts.
Decent people fled this bored after reading negative crap posted year after year by you.
Do you not register the fact someone like M'550 has probably just walloped % of his savings in this share.
Why rip the ar$e out of trades other probably spend hours committing too, society does not adhere to negativity too well.

This isn't me having a dig neither, because when I post on here its usually because I am trading Barclays on the day or around that time, with which I go through all sites I use, gaging any data that I may have missed.
Combined with my charting, tech data and fundamentals, whilst filtering retail sentiment, so far it works for me.

Essex Town And Country Club, "maybe you forget some of the old banter on here" some people who used to post on here, may still socialise with said people, who now have younger family who engage in marketing, some may even be involved in web design.

Its really a case of where does anyone see Barcs sp if the ftse slides back, dollar hammer she pound ect;
It is was not for the Brexit vote,
It's clear the ftse would have trickled higher over these past 2 years.
Our pound would have been on average par as usual, which equates to one thing, Barclays would be in the mid 2's swinging from high 2's to low 2's comfortably again.

So it a case of gaging all relevant factors in how funds, and retail investors predict Barclays worth in this current climate, personally I can't see much impact even if the ftse adjusts itself over this political, brexit chaos.
So I would not lose a wink of sleep if they were to slip lower than your price.
Just means that one would have to sit it out, for a couple of months.
If you like swing trades, take a gander at the A.A plc atm, very tempting price to trade at.

Good call chap.
Having been away from my desk this week and for some unknown reason, no charts would open on my laptop.
Guess its just some (player) update needed, which meant I had to endure squinting at my phone screen all week.
Once 184 went though it was a no brainer, though I didn't hold like yourself, bit annoyed as I like to squeeze out every possible percent lol.
Back now and just took a butchers at my ole faithful set up.
Still looks like a possible head and shoulders pattern up at the 2.00 area.
Without a crystal ball on what the pound / greenback are likely to do short term, who knows.
Lot of friends went short into our ftse this weekend though.
Flumps sidekicks have been over head in their V22 Ospreys annoying everyone, it looked like a scene from Avatar.
Pound still seems to be due some more pain.
So I'm on the fence till I can see a clear break out myself.
