Despite all of that we can all look forward to hearing what Woods says on the 13th, mid month gives the BOD enough time to consider us poor, down trodden share holders.
HMRC and Bailey's team didn't consider share holders who rely dividends to contribute as income.
Certainly no Furlough was thrown our way !

Hopefully we should see some a strong bounce of this recent channel, looking like a possibility off 398 / 402 area.
Then nice and bullish.
It is playing an almost identical chart similar to a few others Im sitting on for dividends.

Thanks for the link, most presumed that Woods would wait till ECB chaired their later meeting, as it was them pushing down authority on the PRA originally.
Either way Barclays reacting to a mid July decision makes it far more interesting to see if they might take the honourable lead and reinstate the usual interim due.
Having pressed Barclays BOD in the past for any form of special dividend, it usually falls on death ears, so I personally won't be holding one's breath. Though it would be a good gesture if they consider their share holders for once .

Firstly, hello to all original posters and the new ones I notice on here.
Its been a horrendous time for any long term investors.
Though on a brighter note I thought that I would give the ole LSE board a glance.
With that I thought I may share some positive points that are in the mix atm.

1. Finally the ECB should give some clear indication and lift the restrictions concerning the dividend later this month 23rd.
2. Now anyone with access to a calculator and noticed the massive downward spike on the open a few months back, clearly knew it was Ed / Sherbourne covering as it was the identical damage to the SP when he engaged his monopoly attempt originally . There is a few old school that avoided adding Barcs to their portfolio whilst he was engaged.
So that said its seen a green light when things calm down.
3. Barclays corporate sent a few of us letters back on 26th May clarifying the fact the BOE was making everyone aware if it did go negative, that we should be prepared for Barclays to pass on the costs to its organisations. So with that looks a distant bad memory now .
4. Hopefully soon everyone will have blown their covid savings and Joe Public will start hammering their Barclaycard once agian, whilst it may be some time for the housing market tilts and mortgage revenue causes concern.
5. Now whilst the Feds,ECB and our BOE are hoping they are correct, which to be honest it looks like they have all their fingers and toes crossed atm, inflation is looking a very strong factor to consider.
6. The IMF projections are 1.9% on the 10 yr T Note / 2.4% for 2022 /2.7% 2023 / 2.8% 2024
Whilst the charts have recently made new lows, the RSi has not yet confirmed a move. Instead it appears to be a really nice Bull Flag waiting to blow .

Add all these points together and it looks very pleasing to the eye.
Since the recent high Barcslays as you all can see for yourselves has channelled nicely, it looks to me that we have are going into a small W5 pattern to a possible 167/8 testing resistance before it makes a break to test 180 with a push through into £2.08.

Though things do not always pan out in smooth formation and this is just a shared idea so always dyor.
Just wonder if Barclays will be as quick to announces a August Interim Dividend if a restrictions get removed on the 23rd July.
Considering they pulled the pre covid final one within 3 days of it being transferred to its share holders accounts !

Having been waiting for my last swing up adding to Barclays, just logging in and seeing the charts its clearly made a classic, wedge pattern (textbook in fact) hence the upside.
It could therefore move towards its 8 week moving average of 180 area, then its back to studying the chart again.
Please refrain from posting and expecting a reply, it won't be that Im being rude in anyway, actually dealing with undertakers and probate atm.
So I can not see myself trading for a while.
Best wishes to all genuine people who hold Barclays, good luck and don't listen to scaremongers, this has held strong ground, considering all the economic factors, e.g. FX / Turkey losses / Indi's and Barclays are worth holding all day long at this price. W'

Sadly since posting on here since being a newbie pre bank crash, while trusting Barclays BPIM to invest and lose me a huge amount.
These past years I had taken over trading for a living and thankfully been really lucky too.
Though Walter then switched to JackBowers, kilimehouse, now to ggerard and the other silly new low numbered posts.
Posting to his own accounts to and for what I really do not know?
He has brassed so many decent posters off over the years its hilarious . . . despite I have tried, he is really as sad person and for that reason I basically can not be ar$ed with taking the time to pop in when I have time while plotting or trading.
There has been some really nice people on here over the years and they have fallen 1 by 1, leaving only a few good ones.
So to all the decent people who either cut an paste or even just ask a simple question, Fairplay as it has been pleasure.
You know who you are and I wish you all the very best in your trades and good health and prosperity.

After covering my short positions at 198 from around 216, due to a still bullish dow and other indie.
You may want to ask an adult to read and explain what I actually posted.

It is really sad you take so many people on here as fools and post / troll, under several different accounts.
Whilst posting utter 5$it all the time.
Do you really think for one minute anyone believes you actually trade. "If so you really are deluded".

Never have I posted anything other than accurate assumptions of this share and have learnt some decent respect and followers on a more professional board elsewhere, the reason why I took the time to post, was due to being a newbie myself some years back.
Since then I without bragging, trading has made my life far more comfortable indeed.
Especially having shorted our pound agains the dollar since Brexit, shorting D'Bank 3 months before most retail traders had the balls too.
Running shorts since Jan18 on our major house builders, if you have any intelligence at all you can read between the lines in my posts, some of which I never say buy or sell as I would not wish others to follow me in any way.
Hence dyor . . . comes to mind.
Yes I do usually like to grab the odd Long as I have not trusted shorting Barclays since it breached £2 area.
Tough as you clearly know, my trades have been placed against this recent trend and still made the odd % which when you place as much down as I do, it makes it well worth it.

So to all of your sad little accounts alias names, why not get in touch or even introduce yourself at the next agm ?

Please take note, much happier longing Barclays than shorting atm.
Obviously economic pressures affect all shares, there as most are getting a corrective kicking atm.
Take a look at Lloyds for instance.
If it was not for the fact of them trying to chuck May out, Turkey's losses and ripple effects. Chump (China and trump) issues, ect ect; we would certainly see a nice clamber from Barclays.
Sadly we need to ride this out until the volume creeps back in, which is not that far away.
My strategy is once our FTSE can settle down and bottom, we will see a few percentage advantage here.
Before Mark Carnage can scare monger everything back down before poxy Brexit.
Thats just my plan anyhow, hopefully once both my Barclays barrels are loaded, its the last time I need a trend.
Just one last trade away . . . Its been really good fun these past 24months trading Barclays, so predictable.
Not traded today, so I do hope the bears manipulate Monday.

Big thumbs and small screen as posting via phone. Barclays responding nicely past 2 days to current issues. Indexes trying to find their foot hold. Another head wind to consider is the fact that we only see slight eco growth on the back of summer construction and footy. What a joke. Figures indicate UK is now in same position as this time last year. Ftse and GBP balancing nicely. Unlikely that I will be trading this week either. GLA

So much going on at the moment, even speculation of 6500 being a target for the ftse.
It is appearing to be a case of (Suck it an see) with timing at the moment chap.
Either way when we do get some volume indication it will be worth the wait.
