What a slow past 2 days ! It was mentioned at the AGM by 2 other people, they seemed to speak as if it was common knowledge. Will be a little bit more comfortable once they have slogged it out though, wonder how long they will take to divulge the outcome into the media sector ? Put 50% of my prospected "Bread an Butter" short on earlier this morning. Certainly looks in favour of a slight retrace, so it seems a no brainer. Only placed 50% on as the hourly charts are conflicting with the daily. Ed's big meaning should be taking place with the board this week too. Just hope he does not throw his toys out of the park and press the sell button lol. If he likes what he hears, we may see more investment in this trundling share as we did have a lot being gobbled up like Pac Man earlier, whilst I was trying to build a short. Before I get shot down ! Yes I still hold long as its not worth the stamp duty and commissions chancing direct buys and sells every 3 months, more simple to apply some small shorts. GLA

or Jack, lol, which ever you prefer. I fully and completely agree, far too much is set on them fundamentals. Hence 95% of spread betters have their accounts blown up with in months. Don't know anyone who hasn't, it took me at least 3 times to learn the hard way. Not to mention listening to professional advisors, who got me in this mess with holding Barclays shares in the first place. Basically I agree, the FTSE and Dow are built on Trumps tweets atm, not mentioning free cash and tax cuts. So yes we are due a correction, if Apple had returned a bad result the other day, my guess it would have spooked some of these city kids too. Though oil is set to still climb as these boys are still relying heavily on the returns, so the longer they prop the oil market up, we will see the Hindi's clamber up. Whilst the USD/GBP runs its current course and the ftse / dow hold, we should see Barclays hold ground too. Jack is quite right too, when they slip, so will Barclays share, though not enough to make me cash in my holdings and go short with more than 10% of my accounts. Good afternoon Sorry for late reply, just chopping a few positions around for tomorrows open. Simple spread bet, have done some heavy CFD's in the past and it works for longer term holdings. Sorry to hear you have been through the mill lately with other trades, everything has been so volatile around oil, this past few weeks. Trump "Trumps" and we all smell it lol. All the big firms love spread betters, they just hear the till ringing at the accountants office, when we trade and have to hold. Don't like to hold spreads more than a day to a week max. So it all relates to the charts and trend speed. Regarding instruments, simple really and I find the best way. Nearly all the short term data is there for 95% to think they can chart and trade, leave the short term trading to the big firms with (High frequency) software. Their systems and altos can rob money off private investors 400 times quicker than we can blink. Hence my saying its like "picking up pennies in front of bulldozers" So its always best to look for trend patterns from month, week and day, then if it looks good trade on the hour charts. Long term swing trades are the only way the brokers can't rob you blind. Simple Mac D and standard RSi with Moving Averages or Bollingers. Like to keep things simple. Plus trust your own instincts and not others lol.

I do not pop in to play childish games. It used to be an informative board and now its no benefit what so ever, to be honest, damn shame really. Basically as everyone else is aware, my trades are long. no I'm not a Barclays lover either. once I see a daily / short term earner I pop in and share my view point. This morning I was going to put down �*** a pip Short at 214. Got greedy and otherwise occupied setting up other daily trades and didn't. No I wouldn't wish anyone else to trade on this boards opinions, as I always include in my jots. Though I am Long and yes I do see Barclays Long rather than Short. How was is your 194 "massive Short" doing ? did you manage to average down these past few corrections. If you are short again, what is your target 208 / 204 ? would be nice to know. Maybe you think the ar$3 is going to fall out of Barclays again, personally I don t think so with the amount of capital they have misled off us share holders over these years lol Must get back and monitor my others bits and pieces running atm. Any tech' dat analysis behind your theory Jack ? Its just that since you last advised the same pattern at 194 Ive held and bought a chunk more. Yes I agree the RSi is screaming a short, though simple chart data is there for the 'Sheep" to push buttons and lose money. May one enquire to if you actually trade for a living ? Its just that you seem to think the markets are about to crash in the imminent future, or it sounds the way. its just that I have set up buy orders on the ftse with each order as a buy @ �** pips each. If wrong one stands to lose a fair bit if it crashes and all these I have been getting it wrong. Please shed a little more detail please. Regards W'

Firstly good morning all, can see things are still the happy, friendly "Mind that knife" board as per lol. Was looking at shorting this a 'Bread an Butter' trade eallier at 214, wish I had now too. Taking a look a my current positions it looks like we are in a corrective (iv to v) with a very bullish daily Mac D' still in play. This should I hope push us up towards or just into 220 area. With the usual retrace / adjustment back down anywhere towards 208 / 212. Depending on us not going to war or having the ar$3 fall out the indices ! After which we should hopefully see Barclays build up another notch. It has taken a while longer than I hoped for this year, though my charts have not let me down in the past 24 months. Just as the old saying goes "Every dog has its day" lots of Barclays crap is getting rolled out of the way atm. Still holding long, with no intention of selling yet lol Kind Regards Wolfie

Would love to take Barclays management and all the b.o.d on (Team skills building event) It would start at 4.30am, getting in vans and sitting on some motorway for 2 hours, then throwing a harness at them and pointing 200ft up some steel, whilst telling them the last one up there gets sacked lol. Whilst attempting several nervous break downs through out the day. Then letting them back in the vans about 5.30pm and sending them home. Even Barclays staff were buying up stock at discounted 230's Hopefully I have one more swing trade with this bank, then Im withdrawing cash and setting up future options, whilst swing trading it. Jes struggled to make changes to top management at Barclays and senior staff did their best to let him hang himself, which I happen to know for fact, who and why (don't not need to be a rocket scientsist) to consider why either. Basically the board are institutionalised "Dead wood" The only people I can say are "Savvy" is Res and the accountant atm, Jon bless is ole school and very thorough, actually integrally honest too. He is not a stupid man and Jes has to perform these next 2 quarters in a big way, though it looks like he is doing his job well atm. How about if you were fanatical ACDC fans . . . then they all retired and sold the title and rights to 4 4 students from Luton uni' who played classical music . . . would you give up good money, buy a ticket, travel to see them gig ? No I think not, so how can we judge Jon, Jes, who are actually newbies to this secret, bled money pot. Who would you like to see jump in their shoes, personally I can not think of anyone atm who has enough experience. Jes (cable guy) seems sure of himself to back some serious dollars in the pot himself, he isn't fazed when he is sitting on the amount of shares he has. Have to agree, though I did also suggest Barclays appeared to be getting dressed up, to appeal to a bigger bank. Genuinely dismissed and squashed that question lol. Spending most my life being able to read body language well, no one in Barclays like the idea of Ed Bramson in house. He has failed on a few too many occasions before, this time he might just be trying to put some wind in their sails. Having also tried the embarrasmment tactic of informing them that Greggs The Bakers made a better trade last year ! Jes was impressed by my short on Deutsche Bank a few months back, while also going long GBP/USD then S at 143. So we broke mutual ground and I got the impression that by the next AGM he would not in for a difficult time. Thats just my opinion and reading body language, obviously did not embarrass myself by asking the obvious stupid question, did hear a view others try it lol. Believe me Im no Barclays lover, after this last 10 years ! Though the way I see it is, why suffer the pain, trauma and throw the towel in, when you start to feel better. With all the protected capital, ring fenced money ect; ect; percentage to return profit. Barclays looks a �2 share with a swing to NAV when the shares start getting a buy back, we should see a strong support. As long as the divi stays over 6.5p and maybe increased a few pence 2019 finals, thats when will have grounds for celebration, still looks sticky until then though. Regarding Ed's investment, 25% would be his least target for profit, so I think we have most defiantly seen the worst now. Logging off now as worn out, difficult day trading today. Hi M' Yes very interesting, he did a no show yesterday, gut feeling is 2 of his mates were talking to me though. Their casual attire did not ring true with me and the chat we had was quickly directed at Sherbourne and what others opinions was. So as i smelt a rat I told them honestly what I thought. One regular speaker at the bank a.g.m's did address the bod and clearly warned them that "It would be like inviting the fox inside the chicken coup" if they let Bransom have a seat. Personally I have slept on it now and took in all the chats from yesterday, I'm 50 / 50 toady. Yes Sherbourne wants a minimum of 25% return or they would not place a trade, so an ave of 180 places a 225 expectation. My opinion is Ed's going in with the idea Barclays atm is well under the NAV unlike the other banks riding theirs. Barclays is now restructured enough to invest large amounts, theirs a 6.5p return divi plus share buy backs on the cards, with a guess of starting once we see NAV value again. Then if he does get his tale chopped of and made into a "Neck Tie" Roald's Amazing mr Fox lol He can flee with profit in tow ? Sadly though we can easily see sub 2's if things escalate with Euro card debt, ftse crash ect. Cant see it happening too soon though, look at Apples figures and oil's heavily invested in atm. What I am certain about is, once this share does trickle up again it will attract day traders again, which means money for me, do so miss my 2 trades a day, no brainers lol Regards W'

Can't knock you on that one, lol My sincere thoughts go out to all others with out capital to average down from a decade ago. Retired, pensioners needing a dividend to survive on . . . who can't just stroll in a dole office unless they sell off all their hard earned assets first ! Spongers are the only well off people in the U.K today . . . please, can't get started on that one. Before anyone shoots me down, yes I do a lot for charity, plus genuine homeless in my community. It the next generation of dole cheats, lazy spongers that is killing growth in this country. Must stop as I can go on and on ! Barclays have not done much to help themselves this past decade, though Mcfarlane's and Jes (who I refrain from naming Jiz anymore) lol weren't the ones who ripped the ar$e out that bank. It was Bob D, who not only employed a team of ex tax inspectors which to 19 pages to even start to understand his basic salary ! when the tax return was submitted, who allowed billions of "Blood Money" to flow though Barclays books. African, South American Cartels, Russian Mafia's. . . Lybia's arms finances ! The list goes on and on. Cant believe I am actually typing this, though I actually had to respect Jon yesterday. Whilst having the pleasure of listening to one of his long term friends speak about him after the meeting. Even I have faith in that bank now, no Im not pulling out when my day finally comes.
