Genuinely, you don’t need keep repeating all your well articulated, thought out reasons as to why you think what or why that is what you think.
We all get that you have ‘bought the book’, ‘swallowed the hook line and sinker’ all the way down to your navel, that you are a fully paid up member of Tony’s cult and that you have been indoctrinated into only one way of thinking (PS - that isn’t healthy to most people who are still in charge of all of their mental faculties).
But you stopped listening to people goodness knows how many years ago (just ask your kids - hopefully they are brave enough to answer honestly) so realistically, once your mind is set on something, why should we here expect you to change from your star-struck, idealistic point of view.
So best we just accept that. Accept that you are a stubborn old fool who, despite all evidence to the contrary, is so stuck and stubborn and opinionated and (basically stupid) ….. many other things, that actually what you say or think has simply no relevance…..

All brokers offer ‘Best Execution’ service, except this is disingenuous marketing by them. They can do 1 of 2 things - execute trades received at market price (typically small trades since babysitting makes no sense for baby customers - like Smith) or execute at price asked for by customer (ie limit trading). Either way, both get done with nobody on the broker side caring about the so called Best Execution service.
Largely, only IIs will have the capability to cater to customers wanting their orders monitored for best execution - and even then, certain brokers may well use their in-house market makers to ‘massage’ order related problems (typically shares with liquidity issues).
In Tlou’s case - best execution for all PI punters is simply a pipe dream.
Yet, as usual, our sage guru can commit endless hours of daily existence to an event that simply isn’t available to him. Or us. But the nice people here are too polite to simply point out the bleedin obvious.

The share price closed today around 2.5 pence. Getting close to it’s all time low, on a day when the CFO gave a ‘bullish’ interview on Proactive (one of the main AIM promo channels to PIs). Where the CFO said the Gas to Power strategy was the main ‘route to market’, and the ‘saviour’ Hydrogen strategy would take a while longer than they thought (3 months ago).

FFS - waken up you guys. Stop using me as a lightning rod to stop any and all of you thinking straight.
They have money to deliver the TL now (apparently / supposedly / hopefully) - how long is that likely to take to construct, since they have 2 horizontal wells producing some gas, hopefully enough gas, to satisfy a rather mediocre 2MW of power generation.
What happened to solar option? No longer mentioned - why? Simple - even solar needs a TL to evacuate the power to Serowe. Or to wherever - not sure I can trust too much of what Management here are saying these days.
Why is Hydrogen seemingly moving more slowly than all the recent hype?
Again simple - gas to power has to work for Tlou before any significant efforts and investment can be diverted / allocated to a strategy for which there is currently no ready market in Botswana.
Instead of realising this, posters here are all too easily distracted with hype sounding nonsense about carbon, new market potential, new anything actually other than the Main thing the company’s CFO today reaffirmed is the primary pillar of the company’s strategy - Gas to Power.

Would you guys go away and reflect on what actually is reality here. Please !! It isn’t difficult; the Govt put out an RFP in early 2017 for a pilot CBM project …. and after a few false starts…. and after an Integrated Resources Plan has been released, which includes CBM (thank god)…. CBM is planned to be added to the mix in 2025. Check it out yourselves - that is what it said !

TB, come on. We are both better than that. Would people ever move beyond personalities and focus on the problems here. There are a lot of them… and it doesn’t seem like they are getting solved or going away.

Tlou management team would appear to have played things incredibly ‘fast and loose’. If we are back to Gas to Power being the main thrust - well fair enough. It always was - historically power generation is what underpins and supports development of CBM feedstock. I remember reading for CBM to be successful, typically 40 per cent of its total usage is allocated to power generation in the local market (no doubt I will be criticised for a far sweeping generalisation - but F… it).
The good news here is Govt is still pushing on coal mining /exporting (they are desperate for cash, so why wouldn’t they) despite all the COP harem scare’em antics.

What is amazing to me is that CBM has more than a heart beat given all the obstacles put in its way over the past easily 10+ years in Botswana. Is there someone in there fighting the CBM corner ….

New Year isn’t far off; Khama is holed up in S Africa crying like a neglected baby; Clueless came out with a naive mistake; Tony needs to let these kids show their capability (and they keep failing); by the middle of next week nobody down there GAF so they won’t start any new work.
As far as I am concerned, today’s interview was a clear Over and Out for 2021, merry Xmas and HNY and we will see you all again in mid-January …

If Tlou had secured a PPA and associated funding in early 2018, as a result of the original 100MW RFP (when share price spiked at 16 pence) I reckon the price would be testing 50p now.

But that was then; this is now. Nobody important seems to believe them any more. Except of course the die hard buying his 300 shares every month to maintain free custody fees. Or whatever nonsense he bores with.

There is a problem here. That isn’t me being negative; that is the current reality.

Signing an agreement for funding is one thing. Satisfying all the Conditions Precedent so that the funds can then be accessed and drawn down is another.
We can expect the PR machine to start cranking out lovely sound bytes from mid-January - for no reason other than there is a quarterly update due end January, for which content will be needed.

Smith - pretty sure if you go back and check, you will find it was me that was first to suggest Bots closes for extended period over Xmas and NY. I see you now concur.

Good to see the Minister / Ministry / Govt taking a well thought out, coherent planning and strategy approach to the development of Botswana. Coal is its most abundant natural resource - tree huggers won’t like reading Govt plans to make use of the resource.
To my mind, 2 main factors hold back their plans for rapid economical development - money and transport logistics.
Budget and balance of payments deficits have become the norm for past 10 years, thanks to the ineptitude of the former regime under SIK. Now he is hunkered down in SA, trying to het attention from world media since he is largely ignored at home. Covid has obviously worsened the Govt finances, resulting in projects and investments being delayed to conserve cash. That is a problem not quickly solved, which largely explains why many obvious sounding initiatives take way longer than they should.
Second big problem impeding progress is the state of Rail infrastructure across the country. Botswana sits in the middle of southern africa. And has stated it wants to position itself as a transport and logistics Hub for the region. That is an obvious ambition! But for it to happen, the country must have high quality communication links. The road system is mostly surprisingly good. The rail system needs major investment as does service levels provided by Botswana Rail. The Trans Kalahari Corridor is an ambitious plan - but it will take easily 3 years from now to be seen and making a difference. Coal, copper, nickel, iron ore - exporting these mineable resources is constrained by lack of transport evacuation at cost effective levels.
Same as power evacuation for Tlou with its 100km TL if truth be told - a significant extra added cost making economic returns harder to achieve.
China has funded much of the recent road building efforts in Botswana. It will be interesting to see if Govt again chose them for the Rail construction initiatives over the Americans. If so, the proposed 5GW mammoth joint Namibia- Botswana project backed by US will likely go the way of all other intelligent sounding, mammoth African projects - ie get shelved.
Since if China get the Rail contracts, the market will anticipate **** work and wholesale corruption. And Botswana will slowly but surely start disappearing down the rabbit hole.

“We are committed to our international obligations, to contribute to the reduction of carbon emissions, some of which result from the conventional generation of electricity using coal,” he said. “We have developed an Integrated Resource Plan and a Coal Road Map to guide efforts for the sustainable exploitation of the vast coal resources, through the use of clean technologies, while at the same time deriving maximum benefits for sustainable economic diversification and job creation.”

Minerals minister, Lefoko Moagi said coal and Coal Bed Methane could provide interim solutions for energy security during Botswana’s transition to cleaner electricity.

“Coal and Coal Bed Methane can also create the investment funds necessary to fund the transition to renewables. “Moving towards reduced carbon emissions will require significant funding and government also has a duty to provide energy security during the transition,” he said.

At present, Botswana is almost entirely dependent on coal for its electricity, although the new Integrated Resource Plan will see renewables accounting for 81% of new generation over the next 20 years.

Thanks to the past regime, it would seem large parts of the judicial, professional, regulatory, civil service and administrative functioning of Botswana regressed significantly under SIK time.
Those processes take a long Time to restore.
Shame the ‘pump and dump’ crew of 2017 had no sense of any of this. And now that obvious signs of it are apparent throughout Botswana society and economy these days, and still they ‘promoters’ show no understanding of any of this … speaks volumes about them, their motives, their understanding, their intellect. The most stupid example of this is - saying the CEO is not in any hurry to accelerate the company and it’s projects because there is always a convenient excuse on which to blame the delays…
