Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
It depends on how they want to express in the accounts. Normally a lease agreement would be seen as a contractual liability. They obviously don’t want to take the option to purchase at the end of the term, so I’m not sure how you would state it’s an asset. If you’ve purchased the aircraft via a finance package then it could be argued it’s an asset on the books, but a lease contract, I’m not sure about that.
The planes are financed so technically there a liability, so not much point in mentioning. You need to watch the news as O’Leary was interviewed a couple of weeks ago and he plans to go into Ukraine as soon as safe to do so and he wants to be the biggest quickly.
Consolidation is being talked about but it has been since I was in easyjet this time last year. Im not so sure about Wizz, the value is obviously in airline routes, slots and customer base. I’ll probably get told I’m silly for this but Wizz is weak on all these fronts. I think Mr O’Leary would attempt to put you out of business and out the market than part with any money. There are others of course but I’m not sure how they value Wizz given it’s increasing debt pile. Let’s face it, it’s hard to imagine a better year for travel than the one we’ve just had!
Ok. Here’s something useful. Your down again over 3% on the day.
I disagree. Ive told you I don’t own the stock and have only put my point across as you have. As of today I’m also adding air traffic control fees raising by 25% and ultimately landing on customers to my list of negative points regarding airline stock.
Ozzie your in denial. It’s ok to acknowledge the truth, I gave several shred that are way down. The fact you said ‘All with the exception of 2 major facts’ says it all. I wish you well, but a share price won’t behave a certain way because you need it to.
Also, I’m pretty sure your analysis opinions are not post war.
We’ll my theory for not being onboard with your perspective and everybody has one, is due to the facts I see in front of me.
You can’t argue that the world is experiencing volatility across many regions. Oil, travel costs, travel no go zones, plane issues, cost of borrowing, the list goes on. Also Ryanair want to expand into Eastern Europe which is bread and butter for Wizz. Ryan air have no debt pressure and are the go to cheap airline. I have more reasons, but I think this justifies my outlook atm. I may well buy Wizz but not at the current levels.
Ozzie the only fantasist is you offering future share prices.
I just hope your not managing to influence anyone here.
Ozzie you’ve said to everyone that this stick will be 3000-4000 in 6 months. How do you know that? Do you accept that it could also be 1000?
Owe I understand Bert ashtree. I have several friends involved in the operation.
SJP charge big exit fees, so once people leave, they ain’t going to be go back to it again. Customer retention is the way forward. However, all the partners buy the book from partners selling out, so they will be crying as there own little internal business has lots 45% in 6 months. Now they have to double down, not easy when you’ve based your lifestyle and paid out for a business which is going to generate less when everything around you is going up.
Yeh if everyone who knows where bottom is can just share it on this board that would be great. Unbelievable!
Don’t think it’s the passenger! The fact Israel is at war and destabilising the oil producers might have something to do with it. The US have also put there biggest aircraft carrier Gerald Ford in the west of the med, just in case anyone tries to get clever. This could impact on flying routes and possibly close airspace if it escalates. Oil is your biggest issue and I can see it improving whilst this is ongoing.
Reading posts here it’s seems people have lost the basics of investing. You surely must ask yourself if why you are invested here or elsewhere, to say because it’s low and I think it will go up is fantasy. So many seem to support a business because they own shares rather than looking at the performance etc.
in the quest to always be right, it will probably go wrong!
